I'm remember the season 1 cartoon being on Roland rat, gobots I think was on wacaday . ( Can anyone rember the decepticon seekers made from card you could get on the back of Weetabix ?
I'm unsure about season 2, but I remember getting the key to vectar sigma, Megatron's master plan, desertion of the dinobots and the girl that loved powerglide on VHS numerous times . As well as the pilot.
Season 3 I remember seeing when I was to old for transformers , unsure of year but I sky one had a kids show on Saturday and Sunday morning, it had things like fat Albert , and I rembember being amazed at the five faces of darkness one Sunday morning . Tried to watch other episodes, but the timing were often all over the place, and episodes random.

The only comic I owned was target 2006, I loved it, but had to wait for yrars until an adult to find out what happened as it was a one off . As an adult though I have loafs of the old graphic novels of the old comics ( withdrwan from my local library) , plus all my old annuals.
My son is also reading them plus the old lady books ( that had tapes, plus we have so e he man ones to)
So e great stories in them I must admit

Whenever I see omega Im a little gutted. My lad took countdown into school just before summer holidays, didn't bring him home and he got lost at school, probably thrown out. How on earth would I get a replacemt

YOU CAN SHOOT TORNADOES AT PEOPLE!!

Ahem. Yes, the armada game is probably best. There is combat, but there's also exploring. And yes, the easiest mode is easy enough for a 4yo. Also, on the hardest level, the minicons change positions so the first one you get is a rocket launcher, but on the hardest setting, it's armour. So you have to come up with different stratagies on playthroughs because you collect weapons on different levels.

And if you attach a limpet mine to a certain enemy type, they run around in a blind panic waving their arms for a few seconds before exploding. Do that in a group of them and it's hilarious.

Also, unlike the wfc games, it's all bright and colourful so your son would be more engaged. Best tf game ever made.

If it's just straight up platforming though, you'll have to see about the old side scrollers like mystery of convoy. But they aren't very good. Just get the ps2 armada game and have fun speeding through the jungle as a sports car.

I never actually got any tracking but I ordered on 16th December and it arrived yesterday, if that helps.

Hard agree on all the Armada recommendations, the only downside being that it and the hardware for it are very old so you might have trouble getting your hands on them/playing them on your TV depending on your setup.

Possibly one for a year or two down the line as it might be a bit complicated for a 4 year old, I haven't actually played it to say if it's any good, but that recent Transformers Battlegrounds can do co-op in its arcade mode that you can play together.

Mrs O is staying with her mother for a few days whilst her mother recovers from a procedure and I think it’s highly likely that by the time she comes back Acoustic Wave will have taken her space in the bed.

I think I need to start a ‘handsome lads only’ shelf where he can live with Maketoys Pointblank, Fanshobby Overlord and FansToys Sixshot, Astrotrain and Mindwipe. <3

Transformers replaced Gobots on Wacaday - amazingly the evidence exists... skip to 2.50 to save your sanity!

@GrahamFA Forgot to mention about the game switching that stuff up as @Insurgent said. I got really disgustingly good with the grenade launcher, hours of fun!

Some of the Armada toys aren’t half bad for a 4 year old either. I recommend them very highly. Some of the smaller dudes still go for about £10-£15 on eBay, Armada Blurr is a good one. His gimmick is a VTOL mode activated by plugging his racecar Mini-Con into the back of his car mode.

If mobile gaming is good, there's Bumblebee overdrive. I've not really played it cos its not so much my bag, but it looks kid friendly

Also maybe stuff under the Rescuebots branding? https://play.google.com/store/search?q=rescuebots&c=apps&hl=en_US&gl=US
There seems to be a good few and they look quite chilled

If he has a ds, there seems to be a Transformers Animated platformer

@GrahamFA If you're happy to lower your standards to include bayverse, I just remembered I found out about a TF Dark of the Moon driving game just yesterday.

From what you've said before I get the impression you like your kid, but if you change your mind there is the infuriatingly hard Mystery of Convoy which would be emulatable but probably not a lot of fun unless he's some kind of child gaming prodigy

Last few of this ridiculous thing for the day, along with initial thoughts of the robot mode which is basically what I bought him for anyway.

    1643155255942.jpg

Interesting stuff. Feels decent quality. Sculpt is pretty brilliant overall, though the fine details pale in close up comparison to threezero pieces. Deco is damn good. Weathered paint is well done by and large, with the dark wash on the purple a bit lacking in places. Some of the darker, oily wear on the back of his silver painted thighs wants to come off if you apply pressure when running a finger on it, so be mindful. Same thing happened with one of my threezero 'Bees. Hmm.

    1643125203180.jpg

Couple of joints (toes and outward hips) could stand to be toleranced a bit better, but YMMV and is an easy fix with polish. He ain't falling over, I'm a just stickler for perfect friction joints.

Great articulation almost across the board, ab crunch and drop down thighs are always a win with the added range they afford, although thigh rotation is unfortunately limited. The feet can swivel however, which helps mitigate this. Solid kneeling game.

    KNEEL.png

Absolutely amazing presence and gels so well with my threezero DLX figures as you've already seen. These guys look incredible together, and I've no doubt this will apply to the numerous 3P Bumblebee Movie figures available too.

His magnetically activated light up feature breathes life into an otherwise soulless visage - I say life, I mean it gives him a classically cold robotic stare - and makes for a truly menacing look when activated. It's also brighter than the sodding sun.

    Basically, I'm fucking impressed.

Best get on with that gun mode, eh?

Isn't the world of Transformers a grand place, where one can fail to be awed by Handsome Springer, but able to turn to an almost equally as handsome Springer?

    Yes Chris. More guns. MOAR!

Folks... I've found my G2 Ironhide. I'm apparently paid on Thursday - and while the Gremlin in my soul tells me 'go on, buy' I am determined to go to the 31st without ordered anything.

Wait for me you ham-faced sexpot.

    Yes. Please.

He looks great. The hype shall build in my soul til he lands on my doorstep.
If he's as fun in-hand as he seems, I'm pretty sure I can put myself down for a Scourge, Toxitron, G2 SG Prime, Amazon Prime and that MASK Rhino redeco that Hasbro knows we want, but won't give us because Hasbro gets off on withholding. DAMN YOU HASBRO AND YOUR SEXY TOYS!

Damn you... and my weak spirit.

Will say I'm surprized at the lack of articulated mitts! I had hoped with ER Prime and SS Hot Rod it would become more of a standard feature. I've been messing with Galvatron the last few days and it is literally the only niggle I have with that chunk of hot purple bastard. Being able to open his paws to clasp the matrix and pontificate about enslaving a robo-planet.... yes please.

I don't have Carnifex, but Double Evil is more fun than a pair of randy ferrets down your trousers. He big. He Chunky. He fun to Transform.

Hahaha, no, I fessed up and told them it happened during reverse transformation but appears to be a common problem. Hopefully they can get me a replacement part. If not fuck knows what I'll do tbh.

Definitely a case to be made for it!! Although if there was ever to be a 'proper' g2 ironhide, I would vote this dreadful toy got an upgrade!!

I like humvees. I cannot deny this. Also big cannons. And green windows. He ticks a lot of my ghastly boxes.

Bask in the flavour you delicious bastard! ;)

I can wait for toy colour galvatron to arrive with me. Fingers crossed kapow get him in soon. I have a mighty need for the Marvel boyo.

Never get out the boat!

All joking aside, I think Nemesis Prime/Scourge is the only sure thing we’ll see from that mould, but Toxitron would make a great Selects release given how obscure they’ve gone elsewhere, nice shout.

Does anyone remember the G2 Ultra Magnus that ehobby did? I’d love to see that touched on again….

This might be my favourite release of this mold, the trailer looks so good in person.
