So, I do know I had a vote and Megatron won. But I did really badly wanted to make Shockwave so I made him. OK with my model 1, a lot of my joints were outside and you could see them, and I did not like it. So I fixed that on model 2. I based a lot of it on the MP-29 images. It is a little bigger than the average voyager size. I just finished a transforming transformer. It is pretty bad but it is my first one. Anyway here is, 3d printed Shockwave G1.

For middle school, this is very impressive. I think the next step to take would be getting rid of the generic ball joints because they look bad. Learn how to engineer your own joints! Have that freedom!

He looks like a reaction figure, very cool, legs might need some bulking up though

So I'm not the only person who made my own shockwave!

Granted I made mine with a Light-year Zurg...

Middle school huh? Very impressive! Do you have your own 3D printer? Or are you designing this in school?

my oldest is going into 6th grade. I bet if he had more access to a 3D printer he’d be trying stuff like this instead of playing Minecraft all day. I wish this kind of stuff was around when I was that age. I wouldn’t have destroyed so many perfectly good toys to make new ones from back then till now :D

Thank you. I think with this designing, that you could definitely make other characters you don't have, and make really cool ocs

Darn I wish I had a 3D printer... All I got is lego

Yeah there are 3D printers at school and my near by library but at home I have a Ender 3 Pro. I would recommend getting a Ender 3 Pro because it is $200 it prints pretty well and it is FDM.

You can use TinkerCAD (what I used for this) and teach him how to use it and let him use it for a while then get him a printer. Start with model then joints. P'M me if you want to learn more.

Hey don't feel too bad. All I did was design it, you and all the Lego people out there have to design AND build it! Plus designing with Legos is way harder than well TinkerCAD. Anyway keep doing your cool customs!

Thanks! Yeah, I do build a lot of stuff out of Lego (vehicles, mechs, ect ect) to use with my transformers, but I'm kinda bad at making actual transformers out of them. I have two huge bins of unsorted Lego aswell, so my price selection takes a long time, and I'm too lazy to sort my Lego

Also I would love to 3d print my own 1/32 figurines, as as of the moment I use mega construx figures (a cardinal sin, combining Lego and off brands, I know, I know) which, while awesome for their size, are about 4 bucks a pop and hard to find in stores (I have a pet pieve of ordering things online).

Also, I heard someone say you are in middle school? Oh man, let's just say I'm younger than most on this board, and I hated middle school. It felt so good (and awkward) to graduate...

It is OK I guess I mean it is nice since I do great in school (all A's) so I usually finish stuff early and also during free time I would look at BBTS, TFsource, etc. and kids would laugh thinking that Transformers are for 5 year olds and stuff and they say that they are stupidly expensive(some are some aren't) like G1 Optimus Prime. It stinks that they tease me. Other than that school is ok except for the hallways if you know what I mean :D . If you would like I could try to print your 1/32 figurines that you model and show you how it would look. Maybe I could mail it. I just don't really have the money or time to do it. Anyway P'M me some of the files and I will print em!

Thanks! I here about these tfsource and bbts when all I use is Amazon...

Also, about the figurines, I wouldn't feel safe telling you my PO box or anything. I'm not the man of the house and my parents are pretty strict about that.

I also have never 3D modeled... I like photography more than anything

Again, thanks for the offer! But I have to decline. I guess I can just hope my hobby lobby gets 1/32 figures in, since they only seem to have much smaller.
