The only thing I can think of that is even very slightly (please note the important use of the words very slightly) similar is with their Archenemy. It was mostly just shortsightedness on their part not thinking about how fans would think of things. They built in a matrix chamber in the chest of the mold, but figured Scourge didn't need it so they glued the chest in place. Naturally many fans just knew the compartment was there and thought they should be able to use it and some ended up tearing the chest off trying to access it. Only marginally comparable to Naval Commander, but it is the only other real mis-step I can think of from FH releases.

 

I recall Scourge having a sealed matrix compartment but I thought it came with a warning about that in the instructions or something?

that being said, you could loosen the glue with a hair dryer and any FH matrix would fit in there

Heh, that's what was so super annoying about the situation! They gave away matrices like candy with their Power Basers, which didn't have matrix chambers, and the one evil figure that could use it, and its matrix chamber is sealed?!

Takes about 4-10 days for me to get anything from FedEx. I’m in the UK but when I got my second run Naval Commander he was shipped direct from them on a Thursday and I received him on the following Wednesday. I was beyond surprised so I hope Megatron follows suit.

 

Messaged them last night. They have their stock in hand and are shipping this week. I ordered through TCP so maybe a little longer.

I remember the warning, but I know it was in response to actual breaks. Maybe it was reviewer copies? Of course warnings in the instructions don't help much with people whose first step is to "find the instructions and throw them away" (to quote Red Green).
