Now that I think about it, this doesn't really affect me.

 

It's not a big deal to me. I think bigger picture is the end of the $20 price point for Transformers, Marvel Legends, Star Wars... that whole 6" "deluxe" type of figure. It was a lot of bang for your buck.

 

Does it have to be a strict homage to that Diaclone toy? What if it was a new interpretation that combined the best bits of the Diaclone toy and the M.A.S.K. Switchblade?

 

With shipping ports blocked off, Hasbro has to ship stuff by air, which costs a lot. To make up for it, we are getting this upcharge probably late this year/early next year. Look up transformers inflation for more info about the immense traffic by sea.

So far this site is taking this info very calmly, maybe they finally realized how screwed everything is right now and it isn't just Hasbro being greedy.

 

Sigh... I really hope the prices don't go up outside the US given we already pay more for a most things than the US does.

 

I've heard this was likely caused by all the product stuck at ports, but i'm not sure if they'll be permanent.

The price hikes are true. The recent order forums show it. The MSRP for Metroplex still shows the old MSRP on them for some reason. *shrugs.

It’s up to individual stores if they want to start implementing the new prices on mainline figures. And I couldn’t tell you when they’re going to start to.

Selects is starting to roll out the new prices though. That’s right selects cyclonus has a $36 price tag rip.

fingers crossed that we don’t feel the hurt until 2023. As it stands, both Target and Walmart still have Legacy listed for the previous MSRP in their system, including commander Motormaster at $85.

Edit: it’s just not transformers. Hasbro has raised the price on pretty much everything.

I think that after the Titan Class is done (looong away in the future I guess), HasTak should focus on doing a better Combiner Wars but this time with the ones that didn't have too much attention or proper molds. Personally I would like a better King Poseidon (better proportions and arms that doesnt look like two tubes, but it appears that this applies to the majority of the old combiners)

Gotta figure out who I'm going to gut from my year's plan, then. I really don't want to skimp out on Decepticons again but don't feel like my Star Seekers are complete and the Decepticons have some of the more expensive releases. Really wishing right now I was just the kind of fan who wrote fanfiction without craving toys.

Gonna need to Thanos a good chunk of my wishlist. Sorry Blitzwing, Scourge, Fossilizer packed with Impactor, SS86 Hot Rod, Orion Pax, Spike, Dinobot, movie bots, Inferno, Jhiaxus, Tigatron and G2 Coneheads... gonna sting to be lacking a Predacon and three Maximals. At this point I might as well just sell my Maximals.

 

@Jtprime17 not price hike related (still saw it for Guard on Pulse but I still ordered) - Clampdown - are we still getting one in Velocitron and one in Selects?

 

From what I've seen they're already implementing at least with the deluxe and voyagers. BBTS, Hasbro Pulse and others are charging 23.99 for the SS BBM stuff and 33.99 for Soundwave

 

The selects one was scrubbed off the last 2 order sheets including his product number, so something tells me he was moved to the velocitron line and the listing was never updated. I’ll keep you posted.
