Wait for the exclusive. Will save you some bother painting it and if you can't get the exclusive version then Laser Prime will probably still be available.

Would be all over a Toxitron, maybe domething being considered for Selects since Scourge/ Black Convoy is elsewhere

I personally like the flames over the original fade as well.

The original fade just doesn't really look like much of anything. It's too simple for either a vanity custom job, or commercial branding. It's just sorta... there, almost pointlessly so.

The flames, while a bit cliche, are certainly more distinct. And of course have precedence with the character, at this point.

Have to question the decision to keep the back of his legs wafflelicious like that when his entire lower body is basically a direct 1:1 copy of Earthrise Prime…

I think he looks super dope, but I don't really care for the trailer. I wonder if they'll do an exclusive somewhere without it... He's also the first leader of the line, which means he'll be on sale down the road if I can be patient... That said, give me this mold with a skull head as SG Ultra Magnus, and I'm in. And of course, the obvious Scourge repaint will be an instant purchase.

Not really thrilled to hear the transformation is "involved". Kingdom Warpath's leg transformation was "involved" also and that really ruined the fun of the figure to me. I also agree with the idea that RtS Laser Optimus is a huge improvement over the G2 version. Simply getting rid of the fake chest windows was a major improvement (though RtS Optimus' transformation isn't perfect either). Also seems like the sword HAS to be stored in the trailer in vehicle mode, which no other Laser Prime has had to worry about. I might try and pick up the rumored Velocitron "Scourge" but I doubt I will get Legacy Optimus unless he is on sale.

This looks like the Laser Optimus I've wanted for years since I got into Transformers, and I imagine I'll be wanting every repaint possible (especially Scourge and a Magnus repaint).

Also probably want some Toyhax decals to have that classic OPTIMUS logo with what I assume is him fighting the forest fire, but I always pretend it's 90s XTREME TUDE with him actually burning down the forest anyway because that makes me laugh.

Looks like a great figure! Can\'t wait for RID Scourge. I know it\'ll be said but reusing ER OP\'s legs is a great idea. Why reinvent the wheel for this particular mold?

Huh. I just bought the MakeToys trailer for the RTS G2 Optimus, and it combines, but this is clearly the much better figure.

    Wow.

I'm a really, really big Laser Prime fan and... this is most disappointing. Those fixed shoulders are inexcusable. How did the designers think it was an acceptable compromise? Laser Prime was the pinnacle of articulation back in 1995. How can you make a homage seventeen years later and miss the main point? The poor guy can't raise his arms!

RTS's Laser Prime isn't perfect, but at least didn't lose articulation, was daring enough to propose a modern design and managed to suppress the backpack and fake parts. This thing...
