Honestly  Kingdom Cheetor isn't perfect, but he's decent, dunno why he gets so much flak. Then folks out here comparing him to the MP that costs (on the low end) ten times more, the extremely stylised Cyberverse deluxe that looks nothing like S1 Cheetor, and the RED figurine that not only doesn't transform, it has a hideous headsculpt, the poseablity is probably worse than Kingdom's, and its made of that gross flexing plastic. My only real disappointment was the lack of a guts gun.

 

Yes, I know the legs that you are talking about. Two legs hanging off his back is exactly right.


But unfortunately for me, KD Cheetor's silhouette looks more like he has wings or a cape. And I can't even see the two legs hanging off of his back.

 

This is honestly the worst attempt possible to convince me Cheetor has a cape. Like ............. capes..... hang down???? further than the shoulder blades????? If you wanted to convince me Cheetor has a cape, next time maybe not show him next to two toys that really obviously have capes.

 

Honestly, the stomach panels ending up on Cheetor's back/shoulders is just an attempt to replicate the shoulders from the cheetah mode ending up behind the bot mode shoulders that the show model had (in a very exaggerated manner). It really does nothing to harm the bot mode and honestly doesn't look bad. It also looks nothing like wings or a cape.

 

Also, like, this image you use does not work for anybody who... owns the toy?

Because, guess what, the toy exists in 3D space. Like, congratulations that you can take a flattened image of a toy and make a shape out of it, but MOST OF WHAT YOU'RE TRACING HERE are actually parts attached to the arms, not the "cape" you're trying to pretend he has, and so clearly, in person, these cannot be a single unified object, because the forearms are NOT in a place where they can be part of a continuous shape starting from pieces on the back. It's just not reality. It doesn't hold up with the actual toy in-hand. You can point to a photograph with shapes drawn on it all you want, but I've got the toy right here, and the photo doesn't line up with reality.

 

I just have one question...can those wings/flaps flap just like Grimlock's? or are they stationary?

 

Not trying to convince you of anything...I just personally see the exact same type of wings on KD Cheetor, that Grimlock is known for having. If you don't see those flaps, it's perfectly fine.

 

S1 Cheetor has flaps hanging off his shoulders apparently made from the sides of the cheetah. It's just that Kingdom can't say "fuck physics" like Transformers cartoons can and shrink/morph stuff on a whim.

 

1) no they don't flap like Grimlock's
2) I don't care if he has wings or not, I came here to try to figure out why you think having arms is the same as having a cape, based on bad photos of a toy you clearly don't own, sure say he has friggin' wings all you want, what crap does it matter

 

Hey look, red-casted hips and thighs to harvest for Ratchet.

 

Not bad colors, but easy pass for me, don\'t care about Diaclone unless it\'s a different head mold like Road Rage or Exhaust.  Still, really ridiculous how his repaints and remolds are so much easier to get than Ironhide himself.

 

I wasn't really interested in that black Ironhide...but seeing it up close and detailed photos...I strangely want it now...even with the annoying Siege feet and stuff still. I REALLY hope that Studio Series 86 Ironhide we've heard about will be an improved mold and not just the Amazon exclusive in cartoon accurate colors.

Hasbro likes to reveal the leaked stuff that nobody’s interested in first so that’s probably why.

 

Already pre-ordered from Hasbro Pulse, gonna have to fire up the 3d Printer to print those foot replacements again. Like the color palette and look. He\'ll be able to hang out with SG Ratchet and Optimus...

 

Was there any discernable pattern between announcement dates with the last few years of Selects? Curious if there's any idea how long it'll be until the next reveal or if it's totally random.

 

Oh my god. This thread about kingdom cheetor is full of TFW2005isms. The flaps on cheetor don't really look like anything at all since they curve around towards the shoulders, which is a worthy complaint. Since it is a $20 mass retail figure. The wings looking like a cape is a decent observations since the bits hanging off the arms can look like he is grasping the sides of a cape. Now stop arguing because the figure is not going to change.
