Ran my first official marathon in 20 years (ran 6 solo from 2017-2020 though) on Oct. 3, with a broken hand (happened 6 days before the race, got a plaster almost up to my elbow 3 days before the race) and 4 hours of sleep in 2 days (sick on Friday, family issues on Saturday), after averaging 95K/week during my 20-week program (biggest week was 120K). Did 3h31m46s back in December, did 3h19m22s this time around. Needed 3h20 or better to qualify for Boston, but that won't be enough because of the high demand. I probably needed 3h12-13. I was on a 3h06 pace at the half marathon mark, and 3h10 after 30K, but I eventually slowed down and did the 2nd half in 1h46, I was just exhausted and the plaster wasn't exactly helping. Next time!
I recently started playing sports. Before, I almost never exercised most of the time. Because I decided to prepare my body for the summer. I really want to have a beautiful body. Now I work out 3 times a week in the gym. And once a week I go swimming. I swim about 15 km. I think for the first time is good. I was also advised to eat more and better. I started eating more cottage cheese and drinking dairy. They also advised me to buy protein and different cbd oil uk. What do you think about it? Does protein help or not.
Short answer, yes. Protein is very important but so are the other macros. If you are going to be working out you are gonna need to refuel yourself.
Miracle: I did qualify for the 2022 Boston Marathon with my 3:19:22, as the cut-off time was 0 minutes 0 seconds, a first since 2013!
first day back the gym after christmas was painful. still walked a bit during vacay but just minimal lifting. hit almost the entirery of my usual routine but had to drop down a level on stairclimber and like 10 lbs on a couple weights but should be back to speed by end of week. chicago is under both vax and mask mandate now and while i do feel a bit safer in the club it still sucks to be constrained breathing with the mask.
Anyone know what's going on with this creatine shortage? I had no idea this was a thing until recently. About 2 weeks ago, I started looking for creatine because my supply was getting low and I couldn't find it anywhere. Then I did a google search to discover that creatine is in short supply, possibly going into next year. Realizing that the normal places I would check for creatine weren't going to work, I changed up my search to checking grocery stores and rinky dinky pharmacies. I lucked out and found a grocery store that had a few canisters of creatine. So now I'm good for the next 500 days (assuming the servings per container is accurate). I don't train as much as some others. I only lift 4 days a week for about 45-60 minutes and I do some cardio 5-6 days a week for 30-60 minutes. I'm not trying to get jacked, just stay fit. Since I eat a relatively low carb diet, I rely heavily on creatine to get me through workouts. Hopefully, I now have enough to get me through this shortage.
