I really like this idea, and I am now taking this as my headcanon for why all Soongs look the same. Did.... Did I actually call something for once? Now I'm curious to see what change is made.
I am honored lol But on a serious note it’s just seem to be in such an easy explanation and certainly within the educated abilities Arkin had When it came to genetics So am I
Well that doesn't could because obviously an android can't get pregnant and give birth to a human son. Though maybe he could build an incubation chamber to produce clones of himself. I just very much doubt that there's any sort of natural human reproduction happening with an android who can't produce egg cells.
Somebody please explain to this guy that the android was built after the real Juliana had died they said that I’m fairly certain he’s got me on block And he’s obviously not reading the other post here
Just going off memory without going to ST Wiki, the original Julianna was killed as a result of the Crystalline Entity's attack on their colony, wasn't she? That's way after the androids were built and the Soong kid was born.
Yes she died due to injuries she acquired during the escape.....Apparently they were the only two people to escape and yes Lore and Data has already been built.....Lore before Data (It seems that B4 Was created at a different lab altogether On a different planet) And based on The age difference it would seem that Soongs natural child was from a Previous relationship or marriage before he met Juliana
Spock doesn't talk about his family - kinda useful for that to be the case - what with Michael Burnham and all.
Altan Inigo Soong | Memory Alpha | Fandom Yeah, Michael Chabon stated on Instagram that Altan was a child from a relationship before Noonien met Juliana. If you think about it, Noonien being a deadbeat dad makes a lot of sense considering his method of giving Data emotions was to hide in private for decades and never ask for anyone's help in checking the remains of the Omicron Theta colony. Then summon Data with reckless regard to Starfleet officers who were disrupted by surprise. Now admittedly, a television episode can only contain so much continuity porn, but I am still irritated that Discovery 4.02 cemented Altan as the inventor of the "Soong method" of organic-to-synthetic mind transfer. Would it have killed Picard season 1 for Jurati to say something like, "Oh, you perfected Ira Graves's technique?" In TNG 2.06 Graves nearly took over Data's life with the transfer method that in TNG 7.10 the Enterprise-D crew observed had already happened to Juliana. In fact, why doesn't anyone look in on Juliana when her brain reached the end of its programmed lifespan? Her positronic brain would pose a valuable target for scavenging.
To be honest with you the Ira graves thing Originally blocked me too but then I considered two things 1)Ira was a bit of a braggart, i’m not so sure I would put a lot of faith in his claims that he “He taught Noonien everything he knew” So perhaps Ira Stole the basics on the human to android mine transfer from Noonien (Or maybe even Altan since it’s conceivable he met Nooniens sone at some point) 2)There’s more than one way to skin a cat, maybe Altan Developed a completely different way to achieve the goal of human to android mind transferred As to why no one has looked in on Julia……I don’t think anyone outside The enterprise D’s command crew learned of Julia’s secret And I could very easily see Picard having all records of her real nature Be expunged from the official record and ordering he’s coming crew To keep all that information to themselfs out of respect for data and his decision on what to do about his mother’s true nature
Well I’m at least happy that they might make an attempt at explaining why Q always seemed afraid of Guinan
Star Trek: Picard Co-Creator Promises an Intimate, Time-Bending Season 2 In a roundtable interview attended by CBR, Picard series co-creator, Season 2 co-showrunner, and executive producer Akiva Goldsman revealed the narrative themes driving Picard this season. He also teased how several familiar Star Trek faces will challenge Picard personally in upcoming episodes, and provided an update about the series' possible future beyond Season 2 Goldsman noted that setting the time-travel portion of Picard Season 2 in the year 2024 helps juxtapose the idealistic future of Starfleet's 24th century with the foibles and culture of the present day. Regarding thematic changes between seasons, Goldsman observed that "if Season 1 was resurrection, Season 2 is redemption." The time-travel aspect of Season 2 allowed the story and characters to look back on relationships -- or lack thereof. "What we're exploring are the relationships people have with intimacy and connection," Goldsman hinted regarding Season 2's overarching story. "The door is always open for a Season 4 but, as of now, it's just three seasons. It was always planned to be three seasons. If some combination of CBS, Patrick [Stewart], and the world [asked for] Season 4, I'm sure we'd all engage it but, no, it remains a three-season show."
(The shows ratings are terrible, the only reason we are getting 3 seasons is because some moron greenlit all 3 seasons from the start.) is what they are really trying to say. Les Moonves gave Secret Hideout some kind of screw you CBS contract for a certain number of shows and seasons before he was let go.
Star Trek: John de Lancie Discusses Q Differences From TNG to Picard "He really wanted me to understand that they did not want to go over old ground," de Lancie said. "And that was particularly good for me because I am loth… there are real dangers in trying to recreate. I've been on a couple of shows which were recreations of very successful shows in the past, and that's what sometimes they try to do and it was always disastrous." "So this is a new Q… no, old Q, just the situation is different. The stakes are higher. What I need to have Picard go through now actually affects Q. So his stakes are higher as well. So it is a different look. Yet, if you consider this, dare I say a diamond, and you're cutting different facets, it's just yet another facet. And, and I think, an interesting one." "I think that there's a genuine love for Picard, and in a way, I think he has that for Q. Remember, Q is in need of a lot, and looking for a lot. And this is a relationship that while Q might be somewhat difficult to be with, I feel that Q is very caring. And in this particular time, it's really important. Q need for Picard to do something because on top of everything else, it's connected very much to what Q needs personally. So the two are connected." I doubt Picard would say he loves Q. Mutual respect, at best.
Heh, the meeting between Picard and Q went exactly how I imagined. See Disney? You should have done this instead of the soulless CGI Luke, just use him in future stories. ... Oh yeah, you can't, stupidly let a reckless director kill him off, I forgot. Anyway, great to see Picard and Q meet again. "Remember what I told you when last we met? The trial never ends." Was nice to see Spoiler Guinan and Picard meet. Guinan hints that El-Aurians "age as much as they want to" and let herself look older to not to feel out of place among humans. Also is it me or hat has gotten bigger? I am guessing that despite what the season teaser tries to show, Q did not change the past to mess up the present but to somehow save Picard and co. and give them another chance to handle the strange Spoiler "plea" from the Borg to join Starfleet. One has to wonder, even after species 8472, what could be so deadly as to make the Borg sue for peace? Alternate universe Picard... Spoiler sure seems to have been a conqueror. And that Cardassian skull on his desk makes me think he resolved the whole "4 lights" torture differently than our Picard...
