I guarantee FT will show that exact picture with Grinder with that added as an accessory. Timing probably right too. I expect Bruticus/Defensor announced this year or 2023 and Computron/Abominus announced 2024/2025.

 

Given the plethora of Bruts and Defs we've got currently, kinda hope Abominus and especially Computron would be considered up next.

Plus we've never gotten really g1 dedicated Terrorcons

 

Yes! I would like to see some Roadking-style magic applied to those legs to get better proportions along with ankle tilts and rockers.

Think of it from FT's perspective. Bruts and Defs are coming out now. Do you leave these customers to someone else and come back 4 years later or follow up on Superion and Menasor? Why do you think we got those ~1.5-2 year old pictures of the Aerialbot limbs NOW? If someone has a painted prototype it is recent but renders and even prototypes are not always that case especially with the huge delay we have had. I don't for one minute believe it was the limbs causing the delay. Also, look at the market. Zeta, XTB, and MMC are not coming at you right now with a Computron or Abominus and because of your market dominance you really don't care what they do. I think FT finishes up with the promised Devy and a Predaking. The designs for those combiners are likely already completed to some degree. You just don't release stuff until marketwise you are ready to act on it and it serves your purpose.

The timing is all up in the air. They could have been slower because it was their first two combiners and maybe they ramp things up because they are running out of other releases in between these combiners. They usually have 7 to 8 releases a year now and next year may hit something like 1 a month. You see now they have just plowed through all of the minibots and still have to announce the rest of the Autobot Headmasters. I could see them doing more carbots and Targetmasters but it is quickly going to get back to doing all of these combiners. I don't really see a problem with them having 4 active combiners at once if two are mostly done so they may stagger them that way. It definitely creates a lot of buzz and engagement with FT. Computron/Abominus could be a late 2023 announcement with Superion/Menasor complete.

 

A Computron/Abominus set by FT would be a home run.

no one, and I mean NO ONE has done them Justice. Hell, I don’t even think a G1 MP style set exists!

 

Going by FT's track record, the fact that other companies are doing Defensor and Bruticus makes it more likely they'll do Defensor and Bruticus next. They love stepping on other companies' toes.

 

I want a FT Predacons! FT does a pretty good job with all their beast-formers. I know the Predaking wars came and went, but FT has yet to enter the ring!

 

I think that is why Devy and Predaking will be last. There will have been many years since people bought those and the market will be ready for the likely definitive presentation. Especially, if FT is already 6 combiners deep in their line.
