Not liking the autobot logo on the leg. Perfect place on the chest for it. I don’t care if it’s animation accurate. Just looks so wrong. Great looking figure though. Can’t wait for mine.

 

Man... I waited sooooooo long for GT Hot Spot to finish the set and now when it finally comes I'm like "meh" because MMC First Aid is on the way. It's like impossible to make me happy.

 

I really hope MMC's defensor doesn't have a similar situation were we are waiting forever for the last piece. Granted, no matter what it will feel like forever but I am hoping for a maximum of 6 months between releases.

 

Logo on the leg is toon, and toy, AND comic-accurate. It's like, there's no OG source that DOESN'T do it that way. Many may not like the aesthetics, but it's not an "obscure/alternative" way to do it. It's THE way.

Of course people are free to do whatever they want for logos (I sure do!), but nobody should be acting like it's some weird thing dredged up from the dark corners of G1 history. First Aid's always been depicted that way. A lot of people just seem to have mis-remembered.

seeing as everything is all-in-one integrated, there shouldn't be this long delay for the final piece that contains the skeleton/pants former element that the engineers need to spend time on to figure out how everything works with joint tolerances and balance and whatnot. Also, the Hot Spot is supposedly slated to come third, fwiw.

Also, MMC doesn't really have that many other things in the hopper the way FT and XTB does, right? There's Deathsaurus and the Autobot cassettes, but anything else I'm not aware of? They're done with all the IDW/DJD stuff, right?

 

I know I'm a logo outlier for sure because I have a huge nostalgia for silver backed logos when the general consensus for masterpieces these days are borderless symbols

 

They do have their Infinite Finity and Unlimited lines they just started with Female Tarn and Star Convoy, respectively. Nothing has been announced for the next figure in those lines though. All they have announced for new figures (not reissues or redecos) are IDW Deathsauras, G1 Deathsauras, RMX Steeljaw, and Perfection Series First Aid. Thing is Medicus/First Aid is PS-21 but I can't find anything for the PS-19 and 20 figures. They may be con exclusive redecos like they have done before but they could be new figures entirely for all I know.

 

I hear that. To the point that I'm sometimes even doing silver outlines on white figures... (mainly due to so few clear-backed ones looking good, with visible borders etc)

This already looks better articulated than there swindel but fraudo was a leg i dunno i guess we cannot compare yet, but the feet already look 10 time better and give you more range, that was probably the biggest problem there comabticons had was there limited foot range outside of incursus whos feet were fine, the limb bots were a different story

 

Funny thing I just realized: I had the Autobot Micromaster Off Road Patrol set growing up. (I also seem to recall that it was $5 for the set of 4 Micromasters.) Tote, the van, transforms in a way that is essentially backwards to First Aid, but basically looks pretty similar otherwise. (Since the Nissan Vanette kinda looks the same back to front.) Would be wild if MMC did a repaint in this color scheme.

 

They haven't formally announced it, but they do have a 3rd combiner coming up as well. The shadowy foot in the Defensor video they released they confirmed was a 3rd combiner, not a repaint tease. I expect they do have other things as well, they just play their cards closer to their chest than XTB/FT. They also have a tendency to cancel projects more than other 3rd Party companies, so waiting until they are confident they are past the cancellation point to make an announcement makes sense.

I prefer plain white border myself. Depending on the lighting/glare, silver symbols can look a bit muddy. Plain white borders don't have that issue.

Although personally, what I'm rather partial to are the live-action movie-style all-silver logos from Reprolabels/Toyhax. They look so damned classy. I used to buy them in bulk when they were cheap, but unfortunately the cost on them went way up.

But not for MP-style 'bots. I save my decal sets for those.

Haha, Tote! I loved that particular offroad set. I am not loving the triangle within the circle. I am planning to put an Autobot symbol right over it. Hopefully it won't be upside down in bot mode (even if on his backpack).
