...wait, what the deuce!? On one hand, it's odd, but on the other hand, it looks kinda like Car Robots Black Convoy aka RiD01 Scourge, though, so it's not too big a deal. Though it sucks that I'll have to cancel my preorder for the MP49 KO, wasn't expecting ShowZ to get it this soon. (I'd hoped it would've came like around the beginning of February...)
Is this supposed to be a final release version or a review copy? Cause this version is shown with the light green gun previously pictured with Magnus. So this could mean UM comes with a normal black version.
Not sure, but this YouTube channel has many of the KO reviews prior to their launch so I’m sure he will be reviewing the others (I hope)
The one thing that is most striking about these current versions of this KO is how flat they look. They look almost completely matte to me and i'm not so sure that's a good thing. I have the Magnus version coming so I hope it looks okay being that way. We shall see!
Becasuse on MP-10 they had more colors and decals with brighter windows. Here we have a boring lifeless looking purple Optimus with random green bits slapped on.
It's the only KO for MP44 so far. Although there are different versions of this KO out right now from V1 to V2 that has the yellow triangles to V3 with the silver legs.
Buy the 3D file to print and paint them, a friend of mine has spray painted them, for the Toy G1 version, Nemesis and Magnus... waiting for the KO MP44. What I do need is to know what types of screws the head has, where to buy it and its references.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKXMSVR/ The screw sizes I used are the M1.2*5 (bottom left in the box) and M1.7*6 (bottom right). I don't know what you mean by references but I can tell you the holes were designed with those specific screws in mind and the holes are not pre-threaded. The screws are self-tapping so that takes care of the threading. Be careful not to overtighten them as printer resin tends to not be super durable and it's easy to strip the holes. Also you'll want to make sure the paint isn't too thick, particularly on the little posts on the front of the head that slot into the back - it's easy to break the resin there if your paint is too thick and you try to force the two halves together. After I had that happen once, I started masking those posts before painting.
yeah but just remember that the final appearance could be different from those shots. In fact the eva one is pretty different and while the one on the digibash looks great the actual KO is really boring and plain
My problem with all these new KOs, with the improved backpack, is none of them have chrome. It's silver paint for all of them. I would be a little tempted to upgrade my MP-44KO whenever they get around to doing an Optimus version but chrome is more important than an improved backpack. Also I'd love for them to get rid of the stupid shoulder indent - NOBODY HAS EVER LIKED THOSE, DAMMIT!!! And while I'm dreaming, a fully painted version would be nice too. And let's get a KO of the trailer while we're at it.
Edit - my mistake. Not available at Omega. They're up for sale in UK sales group. The black and white: Bit disappointed Magnus has an orange axe though.
I actually am quite fond of the dark color around the eyes and silver mouth plate the more I see it. Makes him look more menacing and differentiates him more from Optimus.
