So is there anyone else bitching about the overtime rules besides butt-hurt Bills fans?

I wanted Buffalo to go all the way, and win the SB...for once. Losing four in a row is worse than not making it at all. Happy to see Rodgers and Brady exit. Bills beating the Chiefs would have capped a perfect weekend, but oh well. I'm pulling for Cincy the rest of the way b/c they're the only ones left who've never won.

While watching last night’s game I am starting to get the notion that Allen-Mahomes is going to become the new Manning-Brady rivalry.

He needs to stop making those stupid risky throws. But, I'm hoping it to be a good game. The Rams this year lost to the niners, but this game is gonna be huge so....I'll still be rooting for the Niners. Everyone doubted them and counted them out. And here they are.

ESPN Radio hosts have been complaining about them all day. Most NFL/Sports pages on social media I've seen have also been calling for changes.

Against better, more opportunistic corners, the Niners are lucky that they didn't have three Pick-6's in that game. Aikman kept referencing how Jimmy G was lucky to be getting away with those throws. I just hope that good Jimmy (and not gunslinger, apple turnover Favre Jimmy) shows up next week because the Rams are going to load up the box and force Jimmy to make plays. The good thing is, this will be a home game for the red and gold.

Just get rid of overtime all together and end the game in a tie. While we're at it let's just have the division winners in the playoffs, no wild card. Just 8 teams in the playoffs.

You can't do that in the playoffs.

Instead, they should change the rules so that both teams' offenses get at least one series.

How about they just keep the clock going in extra time like they do in soccer?

Problem with that is the NFL is a player-driven league and the more time they have on the clock, the higher the chance of injury. If someone like Mahomes, Rodgers or Brady gets hurt in an OT game, that's millions of network dollars lost because nobody tunes in to watch a back up QB.

That's why I said he better stop making those stupid risky throws. I want to boil it down to inexperience, but I don't know. He seems to be a decent QB otherwise.

Jimmy is an enigma... in the same game he makes terrible throws and generally looks like a desaster... then he leads the team down the field for a game winning 80+ yard drive. It's like grant cohn says...he is the firefighter to his own arsonist....

Why kick the football to the back of the endzone? Why not kick it to the ten yard line to run off at least eight seconds off the clock? I'll take my chances with a hail mary miracle. I thought Sean McDermott knew better, guess not.

Either way the overtime rules are never going to seem fair to anyone, win or lose. I've always said they should just go back to the way it was. Whoever scores first by any means wins, over and done with. I don't recall any fans really bitching about the overtime rules back in the 80's and 90's.

Totally agree.... I got real tired of hearing folks whining that "the game shouldn't be decided by a coin toss", as if NOTHING happened after KC won the toss... I'm pretty sure somebody ran a couple plays after the coin toss, and if Buffalo wanted a chance to have the ball all they had to do was make the Chiefs go 3 and out....
