they'll be at least $10-15...hopefully not in the $20 range because then people will start comparing those to Legends and McFarlane figures...

The figures look okay, definitely in the Playmates style. I did the ship though, it looks solid. If they start giving us more oddball designs, I'll probably buy them. So basically if it was covered by Art Asylum, it's probably a pass as I have all those.

Not bad! Small, cheap, playable, and the likenesses don’t look that much worse than many MUCH more expensive figures (and in some cases are better).

I’ll pick up any figures from the TNG/DS9/Voyager era (and maybe a few from TOS).

the new sculpts aren't as sharp as you could get off of 6" figures, but an improvement mostly over the original 5"...and they are finally doing TWOK figures after being begged to do them decades ago!

hoping the ships are sized similarly to the originals or DST but not priced like the DST versions...I would imagine Discovery is on the short list to be made...maybe the Strange New Worlds version of Enterprise as well...

Lower Decks figures would be interesting... they have the JJ-verse rights too (all 13 films mentioned in press release) so there could be some neat crossovers...

Oh wait, these are 6-inch… okay, yeah, in that case the likenesses could still be better. I glanced at the news quickly and thought they were 3 3/4”. Still will keep an eye on them!

I wonder if we'll get the solid one color accessories and figure stands with their names on them.

yep, property coming back home to where it used to rule...sounds like they have the rights to all 13 films (JJ verse included) and all the tv shows (hopefully Lower Decks and maybe Animated can be done too?)...

i think they know fans won't stand for green padds or orange phasers, but I can see them having only grey accessories for TNG equipment and black for TOS...not sure if the budget will allow for major paint decos on tiny accessories but we can hope...

I think they look pretty good! Honestly, I wish we could get the original Playmates figures with full articulation. I really like those old sculpts...they just need more joints.

This is a long shot, but if the new figures are roughly in scale with the old ones, I wonder if Playmates would consider reissuing the Enterprise-D bridge playset. I wanted that as a kid, but was never able to get one.

i am sure they have an updated bridge in mind if it gets that far but how much would it cost now? Even just reissuing the original, that could run close to $100 these days...

they're pretty close to the originals, which I guess was the intent...

it would have been a bad idea to do some other scale because the one thing that turned off fans during the original run (well besides the 1701 limiteds) was the change in scale at the end...

$100+ seems about fair after buying Castle Grayskull for Origins (can't believe I'm saying that)

    Picard and Riker look great.
Kirk looks like... somebody, just not Shatner.
Data and Spock look pretty off.

If the TOS phaser sells well, you just might get that.
