My Amazon order of MOTU Origins Stinkor is allegedly due to arrive today.

After that my next Origins purchase will probably be Stridor.

    From Kapow........ IMG_20220124_131059.jpg

Still got an Urban Trooper to come. Anyone else in for these (quite expensive) Faux Joe's?

This is the second one I've gotten to mess with and while they are nice, they don't feel £12 a pop nicer than the regular Classified Joe's so I'm not so sure I'll keep going with any more at current prices. Plus I really don't care about backstory on them - they are "Also plays with...." fodder for GIJoe, really don't need to invest in a separate load of fanwank.

I've got the second version of Sgt Slaughter pre-ordered but that's it for the figures and I also like the one that's got the Waspinator inspired deco but I think it was an Exclusive so that likely means silly pricing so I'll leave it.

Yeah it was an exclusive (the bane of modern collecting) and thus out of the price range I'm prepared to go to for something that's just a nice to have. I will probably just stick to weapons packs here on out - Classified are doing characters I actually am bothered about (Stalker etc) so it will just be a matter of giving them the better weapons and I'll be good to go.

I think that's what I'll also be doing as I liked the Bravo weapons pack enough that I'm also getting the Alpha one.

One possible curveball Valaverse could throw is vehicles but intrest would depend on how close to actual Joe vehicles they're able to go and what the price was.

Two weeks early, but I'm not complaining. Screenshot_20220124-203343.png

The schizophrenic nature of Amazon in play again, can't rely on them for TF or Star Wars orders but they've been getting MOTU Revelation ahead of anyone else so far - including Smyths.

Edit: and Amazon have Rev Scareglow back up for order if anyone needs.

It's real, Amazon came through. IMG_20220125_150024.jpg

That is a serious tan. Don't need any of the "extras" but the base figure is great.

I know there's a few star wars fans here. If I wanted to watch the clone wars show, the one with Asoka, without the filler stuff and just the important story episodes, where should I start? I watched season 1 years ago and don't really remember it, and don't fancy sitting through all the extra fluff, also the random ordering of the episodes in terms of story really put me off. Or is there a list of episodes somewhere with the important stuff?

Disney plus actually lists them. It's in its own section once you select star wars and scroll down

My list of essential* Ahsoka episodes, if you just wanted to get an idea of what events shaped her or got her to where she is in The Mandolorian season 2, then I'd go with:

    Clone Wars
    The Movie - Introduces her
    Season 2 - Episodes 8 and 11
    Season 3 - Episode 6, 15 to 17, 21, 22
    Season 4 - Episode 14
    Season 5 - Episodes 2 to 5, 17 to 20
    Season 7 - Episodes 9 to 12

    Rebels**
    Season 2 - Episodes 1 and 2, 10, 18, 21 and 22
Season 4 - Episodes 12 and 13, epilogue to the final episode

    * - ymmv on whether these are essential and not others
** - only watching these episodes will be confusing as you won't have any background to the characters in Rebels, so I'd watch the first two episodes of Rebels for some context, at least.

I spotted that, but it doesn't have the final episodes of season 7 in that category, which makes me dubious as to how complete the list is, so would prefer one from someone who has seen the show.

Cheers. I'll make a note of those. Any other important non ahsoka episodes? The Mandalorean darksaber stuff, is that in the clone wars? Also, maul/palpatine/empire stuff? Just looking for stuff that is important storywise in the grand sense, not just ahsoka.

Unfortunately, Palpatine tends to pop up everywhere in Clone Wars, but for Maul I'd go with:

    CW season 4 - Episodes 21 and 22
    CW season 5 - Episode 1, 14 to 16

Rebels season 2 - Episodes 21 and 22 (also on my other list)
    Rebels season 3 - Episodes 3, 11 and 20

A lot of the stuff I've already listed features the Darksaber, but you'll also want to add:

    Rebels season 3 - Episodes 15 and 16
    Rebels season 4 - Episodes 1 and 2

I will add that you should watch all the episodes from both list in order, if you skip about you'll get spoiled on stuff and a lot of the important Rebels episodes are missing, so you will get spoiled on a few things by only watching the stuff I've listed.

Sweet, thanks. Yeah, I'm going to watch them in order. Depending on how it goes when watching, may watch all of season 7, we'll see how it is. I liked Ahsoka from what I saw years ago (and in mando), my biggest problem with cw was how the story in the episodes weren't linear. And some of the episodes were a bit too 'fluffy kiddie' for my tastes, kinda like the new he man show. Once finished with them, I'll give Rebels a shot. Four seasons and it's done? I may be able to handle that, we'll see how it goes, but willing to give rebels a proper shake. If not, I have your episode list. Much appreciated.

Oh, any episodes with Grievous being a proper badass? I love that character and his voice, but alot of the episodes I saw before, he was pretty much getting walked over by everyone. I imgaine he pops up quite a bit, but I don't want to watch him just get made a mockery of again. Would watch an episode where he is kicking arse and taking names, like he was in the 2D clone wars.

I'm struggling a bit today. I think I may make a list of toys that I want to get on payday to see if that helps. Anything to try & get my mind away from the fatalism that's currently floating around in it

I have a feeling that I'm not going to be particularly good company for a while. I definitely think I need to try & access some of the counselling that's available to from some of the charities & organisations that are out there

(Sorry for bring a downer everyone!)
