Basically this, the ROTB deluxes will be like Cyberverse's deluxes - not as accurate - look and scale wise but get the job done till SS does ROTB stuff.
I will as well, but I hope some of these gimmick figures are good cause I know I'm just probably gonna wanna buy some of these designs now maybe.

i hope the ROTB deluxes are stylised or something so they're not releasing what are just crappier versions of later toys because "uuuuh concept art or something idk"

I think *some* of the Deluxe figures could carry over much like we saw with a few of the AoE/TLK figures that crossed in to Studio. People knock them, but several of the Cyberverse Deluxes would fit in Generations. The engineering is competitive with the Generations/Studio line it just needs scale. Which some of them would already have.

I'm thinking they're probably just concept art based since they wouldn't have the final designs just like the other films. Same goes with this gimmick toys minus say the box art. That will probably be the final CGI designs
I still need to get the deluxe Cyberverse Bumblebee I love that design and I'm glad they reissued him.

which is what i don't get, and is why i thought we had studio series anyway. i know it's a high hope after they dropped the ball with the early bumblebee SS stuff, but i was really hoping the deluxes, if not the gimmick toys, are at least based off the final designs and not concept art. there's no excuse for a company like hasbro to not rein in creative control enough to where designs change as drastically as bumblebee's between concept art and final while the toys are being made. "masterpiece" VW bumblebee was the biggest offender. "dedicated fans won't want a toy that looks like the movie, just a rough approximation of what the movie might end up looking like, right?"

You could say the same thing for Marvel and Marvel Legends pretty much a lot of their movie figures are based on the concept art that isn't accurate to the final designs. Also, I'm okay with this and I think it is a smart move. Get figures out now based on the concept art to go along with the movie. While saving the more accurate designs for SS later on after they got the final designs.

There isn't any time to do movie-accurate toys while the movie is still being made. For any toy company. There are movies that totally changed CGI characters in the very last days leading up to the release of the movie. Like Kraang's Android from TMNT: Out Of The Shadows. The toy was at least based on the initial trailer. But the last trailer and the finalized movie had a very different Android.

Then there are situations like Sonic The Hedgehog. Licensed products and toys were already done by the time fans negatively reacted to the original abomination. I've seen those licensed products and toys. While some still got released, the majority needed to be scrapped in order for the new design to take the spotlight. Due to the delayment, they had time.

ROTB is a sticky situation. Paramount's announcement came at a short notice. Even for Hasbro. There was no time to go back. Besides, as I said earlier, this is a time period of global shipping and storage problems. Hasbro may not be able to hold onto the toys any longer.

Some licensed materials may not be coming. For example, Danilo's 2022/2033 ROTB calendar is scrapped and replaced with a G1 one instead. ROTB one will come for 2023/2024 now.

Yes and no. Hasbro constantly gets the short end of the stick by Marvel because they hand them MCU concept art to do toys for and then the finished product on screen looks different and Hasbro's left with their foot in their mouth and an inaccurate toy that fans complain to them about.

It's a different beast with something like this, where presumably Hasbro would be on the ground floor of the character designs and once things were locked in wouldn't have to worry about last second changes because they're the license holder.

Since the street date is April I could see these being revealed sometime in February - min March
True, but I could see the case being they started off concept art for figures because they had to start production on the toys/toyline at a point before the finalized designs could be approved.

Wouldn't be surprised if they get leaked before hasbro even makes an announcement lol. Hell wouldn't be surprised if we see them in store before any word from them.

Considering they were inevitably going to be revealed at NYTF in 3-4 weeks time, I'd say we're due a FFF around Mid-February
