Is it weird I would like to see Hasbro make a deal with Marvel Studios, to let Marvel make their movies?

If that was to happen then Marvel could also get the Transformers comics as well.

Depends how far along it is. New Mutants was in limbo for a few years and eventually found a release despite FOX being bought out by Disney. There was also "The Empty Man" which was the final movie made by FOX before the sale. Disney released it to streaming but just sorta dumped it without much fan fare.

Transformers are a fairly reliable property in terms of name value. So if the movie is far enough along they wouldn't want to just throw it in the trash. That's a pretty big sunk cost. But they could toss it to some platform or another without much fan fare. I doubt they would, but they could.

But if it's a movie that isn't even in production yet, they could scrap the idea in favor something else with the franchise.

Hardly a good comparison though I see where you were trying to go.

Shang Chi succeeded where Snake Eyes failed because Shang Chi crew knew th fundamentals for a good HK style martial arts film. Focus on correct cinematography for martial arts, a full Hong Kong choreography team, lead by the guy who used to choreograph fights for Jacky Chan, and is himself a decades old veteran of the HK Martial Arts industry.

Shang Chi's opening fight is literally a love letter to the classic Wuxia trope of two warriors falling in love in battle. Shot for shot the comparison is on par with any Wuxia classics I watched growing up.

Meanwhile Snake Eyes was confused, and committed the ultimate sin regarding fight cinematography with shaky cam, unnecessary cuts, and close ups at the wrong times.

Shang Chi was a martial arts masterpiece because it was crewed by people steeped in it's production. It shows if you're a fan of HK martial arts or grew up watching them like I did. The bus scene where Shang Chi strips his jacket, fights with it, then puts it back on mid fight is a direct homage to Jacky Chan, lead by the guy who choreographed it for Chan decades ago. It's fucking amazing.
