G.I. Joe Snake Eyes was the biggest bullshit
    I have ever seen.

The Origin Story in G.I. Joe 1 and 2
was PERFECT. And also the Actor from Storm Shadow was a Perfect Match.

But then...this Snake Eyes Origin Movie...
    nothing made sense at all.

They should have continued the Story of Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe 3.

Maybe Apple may help Hasbro in making a CU. Optimistic fingers crossed.

There's nothing saying Hasbro is going to Apple.

As someone whose favorite movie has always been the Terminator (1984), I hope to god that there will never be a new installment of the franchise till the day I die.

Why not? If you don't want to see another one, just don't watch it.

Maybe not explicitly, but with Skydance making a deal with Apple, you'd never know.

Of course we won't watch yet another one, because there won't be. At all.

And let's face it, the last few Terminator movies haven't been exactly good.

I'm just saying, why hope for something not to exist when you can just not acknowledge that it exists if you don't want to?

I just never understand the perspective that things shouldn't exist because certain people aren't interested in it.

Mainly because as stated by others, the last few Terminator films were poorly received. Continuously trying to rehash the same time travel story has proved they’re out of ideas. Terminator closed its story loop off with T2.

Salvation at least was different but focused on the wrong concepts and should’ve been rated-R.

If Terminator was to hypothetically continue it needs to go back to it’s 1980s cyberpunk horror roots with a small budget with a concise story and with no Arnold. Make the Terminator a unstoppable menacing threat again.

The recent game has been pretty good.

But, some IPs weren’t really meant to be franchises. Hollywood hasn’t got that message yet with some of them.

Paramount keeps making bombs because they don't listen to feedback.

That's the only way SnakeEyes could possibly be bungled so badly.

If Hasbro leaves Paramount they only have 2 picks for Studios for their movies to stay in theaters, Disney or Discovery (Warner Brothers), I say this because Hasbro has a bad history with Universal when it comes to movies.

And their horrible treatment of the Star Trek franchise should get a mention. Anything Trek produced by Alex Kurtzman should be called a Q-created nightmare and quickly forgotten. Something similar might be happening to the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

I liked the Star Trek movies, though I agree with ur comments. Spock, especially, was horribly over-written. He's waaaaay more prominent than was originally intended - probably because the newest generation of film-makers are more interested in aliens now (versus the original's premise of how humans react and behave when confronted w these aliens). And using a Korean actor for Sulu is pretty racially insensitive, even if Westerners dont understand the difference. :banghead:  I guess Hollywood couldn't find a Japanese actor like Takei, because... well, there are only blue-eyed blondes applying and getting roles! :lol

To be fair, Michael Bay can't actually hear criticism from fans. He physically can only hear compliments. :lol
Paramount understands just one dialect: cash registers ringing. The problem was how fans complained with intelligent discourse, rather than cash sounds.

Paramount's been in rough shape since Star Trek Nemesis in 2002 bombed incredibly hard from a plethora of poor choices (mainly using a respected editor as a nearly-untested director who had no connection to the material), it was their final solo production, everything since has been a co-production which means answering to more and more producers with their myriad of suggestions and demands. Since then, they've had the Mission Impossible films, the Bad Robot Star Trek films, the Cloverfield films, the Transformers films, Iron Man 1 and 2, the GI Joe films, the TMNT films, Sonic the Hedgehog, Paranormal Activity, A Quiet Place and Scream, and the xXx films. Having to share production means sharing success, less of a cut of the pie for Paramount, and it just seems like a downward spiral, so it's no surprise Skydance would jump ship, especially after their co-production of Top Gun: Maverick kept getting pushed back.

I don't think Skydance is doing themselves any favors going to Apple TV+, that seems like a great way to take yourself out of the public eye and lose producers, but when you have nigh-infinite Apple money thrown at you, it's hard to say no. Terminator has been a franchise that nearly every film in it has been at a different studio and has suffered for it, it's laughable how poorly it's shown under Paramount and Skydance, barely breaking even on Genysis and losing money on Dark Fate. Maybe just because your dad's super rich doesn't make you good at deciding what goes into a movie.

As for Transformers, after finally sitting through TF: The Last Knight, I am quite positive that Bumblebee turning a profit is proof that audiences can forgive and forget, and Rise of the Beasts if it's not just more Bayhem should enjoy similar results.

Well, considering how much the last one made, or little, I doubt they would even consider another.
Why do you think we're not having a TF6?
If no one asked for it, why should it even be in the first place?

How can we "not acknowledge" something exists if it hasn't even existed yet? If even ever at all.
    What's there not to understand?

Alex Kurtzman is a blight on Trek. CBS’ stock was downgraded by half not long after they announced his contract was getting renewed. Granted there’s multiple factors in that equation. But, him, like JarJar Abrams are far too connected in Hollywood despite them being plagiarist repurposer hacks. Anything JJ has touched ultimately turned to crap.

Edit: though I can’t help but wonder if someone saw the writing on the wall and predicted at some point in the very near future that CBS/Paramount would go through a buyout or the likes of and Kurtzman and crew would ultimately go with it. Les Moonves created such an ironclad contract for them that it’s difficult to get him removed.

The only real time they did was with Sonic and look how that's turning out I got a felling Sonic wouldn't have done as well as it did if they didn't listen to fans.
Maybe but I doubt it. With Star Wars one thing could be hated one minute and then loved another especially from the generation that grew up with said thing. For example the prequel trilogy. Or even a character like Ashoka or to an extent Anakin.

Yeah, we will just have to wait and see. We will get somewhat of an idea of if they did or didn't whenever we get our first trailer or just more info (but either one's not gonna come minus toys till the end of the year). Personally, I think & hope they did learn something from BB and TLK. BUT again it's to early to tell if what I think and hope is actually the case. We shall wait and see.
