Wow, they sent you the factory paint they used? That's amazing, did they charge you for it?

I have a little vial of that paint too. Th did charge like $5 to ship it but was otherwise free. This was from very shortly after the fig was released and before. They started sendin people the little rubber (?) Bumper pad. Doubt they still have the paint, but it can't hurt to ask.

Hoodlum has been in alt mode since I modded his shoulders. Transformed him for the first time for a prospective sale.

I just noticed that his thighs have some marks now. He’s literally just sat on a shelf untouched for a few years now. I know for certain those marks were not there when he arrived. Anyone else have a similar experience?

    Pics below.

Could just be dust and dirt, have you tried to wipe it off?

It doesn’t feel like it. I’m wondering since they match on each thigh it may be from being stored in alt mode and the calves rubbing against the thighs.

Yeah, transforming can leave scuffs on the thighs. I noticed a little bit after 1 transformation.

FT should do a V2 of this character and a GD Rodimus Prime FFS.

After further inspection, it's almost certainly that. Boo.

It's not huge but it's noticeable enough. I like his alt mode better anyway, it'll just make him harder to sell.

Really hope FT have another pass at Hot Rod one day - perhaps under their eye-of-Sauron-dodging Robot Paradise banner?

Hoodlum was such a strange and sad misfire in both modes. Couldn't sell mine fast enough after it arrived - though the paint job was lovely.

I’d love to see a 2.0. If any of their figures needs another one, it’s this one. I can’t even imagine people asking for a Warpath 2.0 already also — the figure just came out and he’s also lovely.

I still love my Hoodlum. Especially with the should upgrades and head modification. Easily blows Takara out of the water. Isn't he going for like $200 now?

Did you ever make this tutorial, and would PH-02 Prowl hands work better?

I'm so sorry, I never got to recording a tutorial for this. As far as I recall, there was really only one part on each forearm to cut and you can see in the photos exactly where-- you should be able figure it out as you will quickly realize that the hand is slightly too large to fold into the forearm compartment during transformation until you cut that small part out.

That being said, I do have a tutorial on my FB page (click my signature) on installing nylon mushroom adapters for KFC hands-- it's not too difficult in my opinion as long as you have the right tools for it.

Lastly, I do not recommend the PH hands at all. They are poorly designed in my opinion and the fingers constantly fall off. On top of that, they are also a bit bigger than the KFC hands and look a little too big for Hoodlum in my opinion .

I've transformed mine a few times with no paint issues! But I would love to see a V. II

I'd like to see somebody take another crack at him. I really don't understand why he's caused FT and Hastak so many problems when he's had a number of smaller, less detailed toys that got 90% of the way there without problems. Too many gimmicks or trying to hard or something.
