I think these are pointless arguments.

Well, if that's true, I suppose it's pretty hard to dispute. If Primal not only has extra features but uses the same amount of material, perhaps it did have a normal amount of budget put into it. That does raise the question of how Cylonus can be bigger and more complex than a normal Voyager, if it didn't siphon budget from Primal.

I just weighed Primal at 4.66 oz and Cyclonus at 5.26 oz. For whatever that contributes to the discussion.

But it was a moved goalpost. You originally mentioned that any complex voyagers had to be small or bumped up in price. Then someone pointed out Cyclonus. And you countered with that saying Cyclonus got a budget design bump from another figure. Since that was not one of your two original arguments, that is a textbook example of a moved goalpost. You changed the argument to something else when faced with an argument to your stance. I'm not twisting your words. I'm just using them in the exact same context you did.

And yes, I am also focused on Primal because you're the one who brought him up, clearly intending to use him as a negative counter to Cyclonus' design. Which again, you did without any actual proof. And yes, if you feel Primal was smaller and had less budget because of Cyclonus, that's literally a compromise, especially since you make the same argument about Bulkhead. Again, without proof.

Except that's the reverse of what you were saying. You mentioned Primal's compromises and then Bulkhead's, which as you just said you feel is inferior. Since you feel compromises in budget result in an inferior figure, it's logical to assume you feel Primal is an inferior figure.

Dude, just let it go. Maybe Cyclonus was a moved goalpost, but nothing you said in that last paragraph even remotely matches the reality of how this discussion started; A discussion in which I've already admitted to other posters that I might've been wrong about Primal, which shows you've not been paying attention.

I've read every post, but I reply to yours because you reply to me. That's how a discussion/dialogue works. And yes, my post does match the reality of the discussion because it's all on topic about perceived compromises from one figure to another.

PS. No need to get upset. This is a civil discussion about toys. If you want to end it, feel free to not respond to me. I won't take it personal. We're all fans here after all.

Well, I think it's fair to say different cases of name re-use have different levels of commonality.

Movie Ironhide and Devastator may look different but serve basically identical story roles and/or character archetypes.

Movie Hound's only point of comparison with G1 Hound is being a green Autobot with a military motif, and clearly design wise he has more in common with Bulkhead.

BW Silverbolt obviously has next to nothing in common with G1 Silverbolt, same goes for Armada / G1 Cyclonus... I think in those and many other name reuse cases (especially from like 1996-2010) were just cases of a descriptive name sounding appropriate for the character and their design (i.e., Cyclonus being a helicopter, rotor etc.)

Legacy voyagers have arrived in US port. Wave one cases and solid cases of Bulkhead have started to arrive.

I wonder how long the toy section at my local Target and Walmart will last as a wasteland?
