Well this will be an all or nothing sell. I have like 8-10 boxes that all have to be sold at once. No parcelling these out. It's a pain in the ass. So if no one wants all of them they go to recycling hell for all I care. I am sick of keeping boxes. I can use the space to store TFs not cardboard. LOFL!!!  :D  :bay :banghead:  :popcorn :rip

And this is not going to be cheap either, which will make this a challenge. I don't make trips to the post office for pennies. Screw that. hahah

I keep my fanstoys boxes in the event that I ever want to sell any of the pieces...that's money, man!

Usually get rid of boxes from other companies though.

This notion of third-party boxes has become so odd. So many of us don't want to keep the boxes, but then folks who buy figures pay more for complete figures with boxes... which they'll probably just toss anyway.

Isn't Reximus' box just plain brown cardboard?

Most of the FT MPs, with the except of a very small few, you can gut the boxes and toss the styro insert, and then flatten the box. If you sell, bubble wrap the figure and accessories, pop it in the box, and off it goes. I figure I'm doing a small favour for the fan who picks it up from me. The box art is meh, and since all of mine are out on display, the MISB cachet is lost. The only one that I have that I kind of wonder why am I holding onto it is Terminus Giganticus, because I would have to break him down in components to rebox him.

People definitely care about 3P boxes. I have lost money selling some without the box.

Yeah, but what about just empty boxes lol. To me a figure with the box adds value, but an empty box is worthless.

Yea, I am the same way. I have his box still and he is gargantuan. That box will bring some bling since he is so HTF.

I had no idea people were interested in buying the boxes. I buy figures I want to keep, and have never collected with the intention of selling later. I only retain boxes when I’m disappointed in a figure after receiving and transforming it, and even then, I’ve only sold two figures in 38 years of collecting.

I guess people like to pretend to own a figure instead of actually owning it. Probably the weirdest group of transformers fans then.

    I'm the odd one.
I dumped all 3p boxes after checking the figures themselves but only keep TT ones.

I bought all 5 Dibots and Koot from a local collector loose so I was in the market for all 5 of the original run Dibots and Koots box, but I wasn’t paying $40 and up plus shipping for an empty box so I gave up. I know there’s no way around shipping which I’m cool with paying, but just a box shouldn’t be more than ~$20 tops especially if you were gonna toss it anyway. My thinking is I’m paying you for trash that you weren’t gonna get a dime for anyway. Personally if I was getting rid of boxes I’d give them away or just charge the shipping and if I had to buy packing material I’d charge for that.

Insert shameless want ad plug…. I’m still looking for all 5 boxes, plus an original run Koot box.

For me to find a shipping box, pack it up, calculate shipping, and drive 15 mins each way to the post office (most boxes are too big to just leave in my mailbox to ship off); I am better off going to work for 30 mins. At that point, for me at least, it's easier to just pitch them, then to sell them for shipping cost or even at $20 plus shipping. I guess it all comes down to how much you value your time. If you want to do it to help fans out, then that's your prerogative.
