Even better they said they won't use rubber parts again. ------------ As for this week's Trigger, let's just say I won't miss this show.
Nope. We’re going to have to wait for the official announcement which may be next week if the recent countdowns (or countups?) are any indication.
Did they? I thought they said they were changing the rubber they were going to use. They should reissue Tiga and Golza without the rubber and offer everyone who bought them (and Black and Shadow Moon) free replacement parts.
With Sompote Sands’ recent death it’s the perfect time for Tsuburaya to swoop in with a fake letter claiming he gave them the rights to Hanuman. Would be nice if they offered replacement parts even if they weren’t free. Easiest thing to do would probably just make them available as a bonus for a future release. Like if the do a new Battle Hopper they can include parts for Black and Shadowmoon, and Tiga Sky Type could have parts for Multi Type. A replacement Golza tail could come with a Melba if they do him. They should probably reissue those figures too for the people who passed on the originals because of the shoddy rubber parts. I don’t want to pay the aftermarket prices for Tiga Multi if they make replacement parts for him.

As much as I would love that, probably not since Bandai doesn’t like selling funny and interesting things. Tiga is getting a reissue for a May 2022 release but the materials are still the same so who knows exactly how it will turn out compared to the initial release.
If they had an option for just the replacement of the rubber parts that’d be cool. I don’t need the LED parts though.
Perfect. Next they have to reclaim the rights from Shaw Brothers Productions so we can get that awesome Super Inframan collection we always needed! Then it's off to Apex Toys, again!
I'm wondering. Will all of the Ultra Brothers be getting the SS treatment? Seven up to Taro were already designed (and advertised) to be as suit accurate as possible. Even details such as the bulging battery packs of Seven on his back (whereas Taro's is on the sides of his chest). The recently released Leo, according to a Japanese plurk user, mentioned that detail-wise, is based on his Heisei appearances, explaining why he looked so "clean" and lacked the imperfections of his original Showa suit(s). several Ultramen, like Great, Powered, the Ultra Force, Zearth, Neos, Ultraseven 21, still haven't been made yet.
Given the screw ups on Seven, I wouldn't mind them doing an SS version of him. And since I don't have Jack, I would probably pick him up as well. Beyond the initial Showa trio, I have no interest in anyone else. In fact, the only other Ultramen I really would love to own are Tiga and X.
Most likely but it probably won’t be for a while considering this release is mainly to commemorate the 100th Ultraman S.H.Figuart as well as the 55th Anniversary of the show/franchise. Maybe we’ll see a tease for S.S. Ultraseven once this new Ultraman releases but all we can really do is just wait.
Finishing the Ultraman B-Type Suit so I can use the paint I have for it on my next Perfect Grade. The body is pretty much done save for second coats of paint to the red bands and patching in a few things. I have to finish repainting the spine. Primed and a first coat of silver applied, mind the dust specks that got caught in the brush. I'll buff those out, apply some accent to the edges and patch in the mistakes. Same goes for the hands. In the meantime seeing firsthand the difference between the original style body and the ACTION type. What a difference when all that's changed is a three segmented torso on double jointed ball and socket fittings, and an enlongated hinge on the ankle guard makes. And maybe what the ball socket joint neck post will mean too.
I have a tendency to multitask when I have more than enough paint in the pan for one project that I will use the rest on a second kit with the same colors. In this case, finishing the silver paint on the B-Type Suit means working on the Seven Suit. Most of those parts were primed and ready to go for a couple months, but this gets the majority of them painted. The Seven needs more paint for bringing out the underlayer color to fill in the gaps in between. I took some inspiration from the "Fully Armed 7.3" Suit for the silver knee and shin armor, with my own added touches like the spine. Speaking of which, the B-Type's spine is ready for accent and clean up for final assembly. Last bit of work tonight was revisiting my first Ultraman kit, the "Limiter Release" B-Type. Nothing as noticeable at first glance, just a couple of patches in the paint and replacing the batteries in its LED. After last night's tinkering was a balancing act to get the models standing on their own, a friend of mine (who is building his Kamen Rider Kuuga Figure-Rise model) reminded me to build its display stand... finally. And since I have the other two Ultra brothers going, I built their stands too. Now I can finally pose it properly for a full burst mode Specium Ray!
