This is kinda ridiculous, but when I first heard about TF2 (which was in a fan-made SFM), I hadn't seen the full title of the game and thought it was some human parody to Transformers Revenge of the Fallen... until I went on the internet to look on the facts. Then I realized that the two franchises, though they shared the same abbreviation (or at least the TF2 in Transformers means Transformers ROTF) were not even close to connected.

However, I managed to draw some bonds between the mercenaries and the Bayverse Autobots (not just from ROTF, but from the entire franchise

Optimus Prime- Soldier (though this is pretty ridiculous considering the fact that Team Fortress 2 Soldier is a pretty dumb and bossy tryhard "leader", I decided Optimus should be Soldier because Soldier was usually portrayed as the leader of the mercenaries in the Team Fortress 2 SFMs)

Bumblebee- Scout (Bumblebee might not be as fast as Sideswipe from what I have observed, and he definitely can't do double jumps, not to mention I don't think Transformers would be able to drink some type of soda similar to the unlockable Bonk Atomic Punch drink in the game and Bumblebee carries a cannon that turns into his hand instead of a hand held shotgun or bat-like club {he didn't even get a real melee until TLK})

Jazz- Pyro (Really, I don't know why Jazz should be Pyro. If I wanted all the Transformers, someone like Starscream (though I've never seen him with a flamethrower in Bayverse films) would have been chosen due to his gibbirish, but easy- to-understand voice. However, I wanted all the mercenaries to be Autobots, so I chose from a list of Autobots that haven't been chosen yet, and chose Jazz. Regretable decision. Wonder how a Jazz with a vison that enables him to see a kid's world whilesetting fire on the Decepticons would be like. Not so pretty. Pyrovison + Transformers = Disaster)

Ironhide- Demoman (Ironhide might not be a good melee weapon user in Bayverse {in fact, he only used his two rocket launching grenades and two assault rifles that got too little screen time}. I have to admit I once made some cardboard Eyelander and put it into Ironhide's hands. He looked horrible holding a long melee weapon. Ironknight would probably look horrible, too. Also, since Ironhide is my favorite character, making him drunk would be a regrettable actions. Still, I had to, for Demoman and Ironhide both mainly use explosive ranged weapons).

Hound- Heavy (Hound seems to be pretty obese and overweight in AOE, plus also has some minigun in TLK, so he was pretty easy to choose. Wonder what Cybertronian Sandviches would taste like- maybe like the rare Robo-Sandvich in TF2? Plus if Ratchet survived Lockdown's attack, seeing him pocket Hound would be a dream come true.)

Wheeljack- Engineer (Wheeljack seems to be pretty talented in DOTM and built multiple weapons for both NEST and the Autobots, making him an underrated character. He seemed to have redesigned Bumblebee's chest, created Ironhide's assault rifles, gave Sideswipe more powerful pistols, and presented Optimus Prime with his trailer. He never seemed to be holding weapons while fighting in the front lines and was sadly killed off, but I am getting off- topic so back to Team Fortress Transformers. It would probably have been enjoyable if Wheeljack did more in DOTM, just like his G1 counterpart. If he could create some sentry gun, I'm pretty sure, he would have survived to the end of DOTM at the very least. Sadly, we never saw Wheeljack show his full potential to the team.)

Ratchet- Medic (That was very obvious and easy. They are both combat medics, though Ratchet uses his machine gun and spinning buzzsaw a lot more than Team Fortress 2 Medic, who rarely uses his syringe guns and bonesaw, preferring to pocket vulnerable classes in the game in contrast of Ratchet, who actually fights like a pro. Still, they're both Medics, so why not?)

Sideswipe- Sniper (Yes, I know. Like Jazz, I couldn't find someone in the Bayverse films with some long rifle and precise aiming, so I had to choose him randomly, and Sideswipe was the winner. Though I have heard that the other Corvette assassin, Crosshairs, would have made a better sniper, plus was actually that role in Age of Extinction, I almost did that, but decided that I liked Sideswipe more, so there you go.)

Mirage- Spy (Coincidentally, they both speak French accents, but he was mostly based off the G1 counterpart by abilities. Mirage can turn invisible in G1 and I heard he could disguise as Decepticons, too, but I'm not 100%, but I do know that he does not have some type of watch to fake his death. DOTM Mirage also had some arm blades, similar to Spy's knives (including a rare Hand-dresser weapon). Wonder how he could do turning invisible and backstabbing Decepticons. In some of my stop motion videos (check out Cutercills 9x9 Productions), there are scenes with Mirage backstabbing Decepticons, especially Shockwave, plus having abilities that Bayverse Mirage sadly didn't have, including cloaking invisible. If I could choose which Autobot needed the most G1 abilities, Mirage is one of my first choices. And of course, Mirage would be too young to be Bumblebee's father {The lore and plenty of evidence in the game claim that Spy is Scout's real father).

So, yeah. Other than Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Mirage, and Ratchet, none of the characters seem to fit well (actually none did perfectly at all), so I used weapons, roles, and abilities, plus preferences to make this list. Please tell me your opinions, but please don't include Decepticons or non-Bayverse Autobots to the Mercenaries.

Well, we all have our own choices for which mercenaries we want the bots to be, we do have some similar picks on who we wanted, besides, if you grew up watching the live action movies, I respect your choices, but these characters I chose were who I felt were best fit for the roles because I knew these versions of the characters.

The Autobots were G1/IDW heavy with a bit of Prime, Armada and the 2003 Universe toyline added in to be the RED Team, while the Decepticons were heavy on Prime with G1, AOE, Cybertron and Beast Wars mixed

I chose both G1 Mirage and Hound as the spy because they share and fit the role for two reasons, Mirage can go invisible and Hound can disguise himself with holograms as I have gone with their Siege figures, and basically Kingdom for Mirage when he's on Earth in the crossover.

G1 Cliffjumper was given the role of Soldier because he had the cannon, and this was a few years before the Earthrise figure was announced, I made this Cliffjumper a digital retooling of Thrilling 30 Bumblebee.

Prime Bulkhead was to be the heavy, and in my mind was the perfect fit because he was a Wrecker, and Wreckers were kind of like the mercenaries, and Bulkheard appeared in the IDW 2005 continuity in the later years, so he gets to be in this list.

Now, unlike your choice for the scout, mine was for a different reason, RID 2015 Sideswipe was chosen because everyone, and I mean LITERALLY everyone would choose Bumblebee as the Scout, Sideswipe is more like the Scout in terms of personality, and even has a sword as a stand in for the bat.

Now Pharma is who I exactly envisioned as the Medic for a reason, They're both insane. Pharma needs more attention than anyone else, which is actually saying something.

Armada Blurr is exactly the bot I chose as the Sniper because of his position in the series, he doesn't talk fast, but needs his guns for that reason alone.

Now, we both chose different versions of the same character, but we were pretty much on par with our choices as Wheeljack was the best choice for the Engineer.

G1 Whirl on the other hand is basically Demoman with his IDW personality and his Generations figure, there's no sword, BUT...he is armed with explosives.

Now technically Universe 2003 Inferno is the same character as Beast Wars Inferno, but...Universe Inferno is an Autobot instead of a Predacon, while the Predacon is with the Decepticons on this list, I used to have this figure when I was a kid.

As I mentioned previously, The Decepticons are Prime heavy with a few characters from other series.

Knockout and Breakdown respectively are the Medic and Heavy as per their relationship, Dreadwing is the Demoman, but without the Demoman getting drunk, and he also has a sword and still has his explosives, the Vehicons are the Soldier because they can easily fit into this role, per Meet The Medic.

    Now here's where

Ransack from Transformers Cybertron easily fits into the role as the Scout because he has both the Scout's personality and use of guns as opposed to RID 2015 Sideswipe's use of swords, and easily has the speed in his vehicle mode which is fittingly a motorcycle. I would've made his buddy Crumplezone as the Heavy, but seeing as how Breakdown and Knockout are the respective Heavy and Medic, you can be certain that Breakdown and Bulkhead will fight one another on the battlefield.

Age Of Extiction Lockdown was the perfect choice for the sniper because he fits the role of an assassin, which is what the Sniper mentions in the Meet The Sniper video, it definitely makes sense because Lockdown is a bounty hunter, after all.

G1 Scrapper is the answer to G1 Wheeljack because they are builder and inventor, respectively, especially since Scrapper is a constructicon. You can expect Whirl to start blowing up Scrapper's buildings whenever he's around.

And as I've said before, Universe 2003 Inferno and Beast Wars inferno are technically the same character, but in the crossover Beast Wars Inferno is a clone of that Inferno, and it makes sense in context.

What I also forgot to put up here was that there are additional characters to fit the role of other TF2 characters:

G1 Galvatron as Saxton Hale, which is actually pretty epic and funny, considering that Saxton Hale pretty much made the Yeti extinct in the Team Fortress 2 comics and was seen in the Mercenary Park video, imagine what Galvatron would do to an entire population of Singlehorn. I imagine that Galvatron is going to based on the Kingdom figure since it was more cartoon accurate to what we saw, before.

G1 Starscream and Megatron as Redmond and Blutarch Mann, respectively. These two would take place of the Mann brothers, and if you want to see old and decrepit, imagine the G1 toys for their appearance and Masterpiece for their ghosts, MP-36 and MP-52, respectively. For Megatron, this was only recent for him being a ghost in the Ghost Busters crossover comic, and it's typical for Starscream being a ghost since G1.

As for Ms. Pauling, I feel RID 2015 Strong Arm was the perfect choice and seeing as how RID 2015 Sideswipe would be the Scout, you can imagine how this would turn out.

I think G1 Shockwave in his Marvel Comics personality fits Gray Mann, perfectly. As such, he would have an army of the Beast Machines Vehicons as opposed to to the Prime Vehicons that would be in the role of Soldier, and gray versions of the Autobots and Decepticons, if you can consider gray redecos of every figure they had from G1 up 'til now, including combiners for stand-ins for the giant Gray Mann robots, which would be a perfect contrast to Gray Mann's robots if you get the context.

And lastly, Quintessa as the administrator. it would make sense, given that the Administrator and Quintessa are both manipulators, manipulating both sides so they could get results and what they want.

As for various locations, the Decepticons would have to be the best decision for clones since they are so adept at cloning and it would be easy to clone themselves. The Autobots? Not so much. That's why the Decepticons would do so much cloning because their main members can't be everywhere at once, this is the reason why Team Fortress 2 would have an online multiplayer function, which is the main reason why this crossover had to happen. The Decepticons clone themselves and the Autobots have to take down every single clone before they reach the main Decepticon mercenaries.

The Decepticon clones are based on the various toys they have been throughout the years. Here's the list:

Breakdown: Prime Breakdown Cyberverse Commander Class, Arms Micron Voyager Class, G1 and G2 toys, Cybertron Scout Class, Botcon toys in G1 and G2 colors, Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors figures.

Knockout: Prime Knockout Deluxe Class figure, Dark Energon variant, Beast Hunters Deluxe class figure, G1 Micromaster and ROTF Knockout Scout class figure.

Ransack: Cybertron Scout class figure (which was inspired by that one video, so it's the reason why Ransack got chosen as the Scout), GTS Ransack, Police Gasket (Ransack's Japanese name), and ROTF Ransack Scout Class figure.

Lockdown: AOE Deluxe Class figure (which I now own after finding it in GameXchange years after it was released), ROTF Deluxe Class figure, Studio Series Deluxe Class figure, Animated Deluxe Class figure, Blazing Lockdown Deluxe class figure, Acitvators Lock down figure (Original, Bandit, Stealth), and for scraps and giggles, Cyberverse Lockdown.

Vehicons: Prime Deluxe Class car and Jet Vehicons (though I'm cheating a bit with the game designs being used as clones, but hey, they are troop builders, after all.), and their Beast Machines counterparts really also fit this trope as well.

Dreadwing: Prime Voyager class figure, Prime Cyberverse Commander Class figure, G1 figure (includes Dreadwind and Darkwing) G2 Dreadwing (with G2 Smokescreen), Energon Dreadwing, Botcon Voyager Class Dreadwind, Universe 2008 Darkwing Voyager Class figure, Power Of The Primes Deluxe Class Dreadwind & Blackwing (trademark reasons for Darkwing's name change) (the Dreadwind figure I actually have.)

Scrapper: G1 toy, G2 toy (both US and UK colors), Classics Deluxeclass figure, ROTF Scrapper (Legends Class & Studio Series Voyager Class figures), Combinerwars & Unite Warriors Scrapper Voyager class figures.

Inferno: I couldn't find any so I made sure to have him survive being blown to bits, much like Waspinator does to avoid his original death in Beast Wars up until the end of the crossover, which still has a long way to go.

So you see, that's why I wanted to the clones to appear first and then the real Decepticons appear later, plus, I developed a habit for making the Decepticon clones be killed off, making it hilarious, yet dark at the same time, and boy do I laugh when the clones are killed off for real.

Believe me, I still have to finish this series, and I have to keep working on which Meet the Team video to adapt as the next chapter.

EDIT: I forgot about Makeshift, so yeah, my bad on that.

I did find one Transformers video that crossed with Team Fortress 2.

This one did have some Decepticons in it, namely Soundwave and Thundercracker, the one thing we all have in common in this video is the choice to make Wheeljack the Engineer.

I never considered Soundwave to take the role of Spy, nor did I have Thundercracker as the Sniper or Red alert as the Medic.

Cliffjumper as the RED Scout is a bad idea, this is why Cliffjumper should be the Soldier, but a Transformers Crossovers Ironman figure as the Heavy? No way, that's insane, though I'll give the guy credit for making Cybertron Clocker as the BLU Scout, that seems right to me.

The others on the BLU Team, I don't even know what roles they fit into.
