Yeah, this seems stupid to me. Why take the time to remove functionality? Have to say I was on the fence about getting this figure (my beast shelf is getting kind of full, who am I kidding it’s overflowing…) but this is another reason to be added to the “ why not to get” list.

 

Which port are you talking about? I haven't watched the review, but when looking at the screenshots and my Scorponok, I don't see any visible changes besides the head sculpt.

 

check the pic of them both in bot mode.

check the tail, right above scorponok’s head. There’s a little hole you can see through (or add one of Fast Track’s arms, whatever).

It's just blocked by how his tail his curled. You can see the hole in other angles.

 

That hole is technically required for the transformation, even if you couldn't see it from other angles (as pointed out) there's no way they would have removed it. The only differences are deco and head.

 

Is that even intended to be a regular 5mm port? It's the hole Scorps toe slots into to keep the leg flush with the tail...

Heh. Nah. They’re all over eBay from Singapore sellers right now. With prices rising in Canada, it’s almost cheaper for me to just buy them early and forget about it.
