How'd you do the different color visors for the Slammers? Custom, photo edit, or 3P add-on? Regardless, great idea!

Loving these photos! Makes me wish it wasn't winter here and FREAKING COLD outside. It's been too long since I spent much in the way of time outdoors.

 

This chap arrived today from Hasbro Pulse UK. Closed box surprised me not that it bothers me. I had forgotten this was part of the 'Golden Disk' collection for some reason (aside from coming with a disk,does that mean he was made in less numbers?)

Also curious that he is packed in his alt-form. You don't see that very often nowadays.:



You can see the gun attached in the second picture. I'm not sure I'll display him that way, (not sure organic animals should have weapons attached) but left it there to show one of the storage options.

There are a couple little silver spikes that come wrapped up that you have to plug into his underside/robot arms yourself. Not sure why they didn't just have them attached already. He doesn't parts form as far as I can tell, but I guess it provides options if you don't want them.

They'll work best for the robot mode, providing built in melee weapons- a nice touch, but they're fairly well hidden underneath in pterasaur mode, do they don't look particularly bad.

He looks rather goofy with that toothy slightly upturned beak. I guess they decided to go more original toon accurate than realistic, like the other characters? I like him though. Has a lot of character.

I've yet to transform him. You can see the tooling is similar to Airrazor, (both suffer from tail being back too far) but it largely works.

Negative points so far (in addition to the tail position): ankles are a bit loose, and one of the wing parts pops off too easily. That's a bit of a nitpick, though.

I'll take a couple pictures in robot mode later. So far, quite pleased.

Oh my Tigatron arrived the other day, by the way. I haven't taken any pictures yet, (no rush, I am sure there are plenty more here by other people much better at that than me) but he is largely a cracker!

Roll on Tarantulas, and I guess the fire-ant guy. Then my Beast-Wars series 1 characters will be complete!

Cross-posting this from the review forum: Wingfinger is weird but fine - but he's not the main event. For me, it's alll about the fossilizer combiner. There are so many ways to go with this, but my current favourite, that uses all the pieces, is this abomination, this hell beast, this Tri-Deadicus Council, this shambolic walking Bone Yard - that definitely belongs in a museum:
