I am very optimistic for this film. What we've heard about it is shaping up to be a film true to Batman as a character. March 4th can't come soon enough!

 

Man, I really cannot wait for this masterpiece. Can't believe how close we are.

Matt Reeves on The Batman’s detective elements (via PremiereFA)

 

Matt Reeves has talked about how the film focuses more on Batman in his entirety. Not just Bruce Wayne, the human, not just Batman, the hero, but the character in his totality. How Bruce is getting lost in being Batman, even though he doesn't know what Batman is, and is still discovering himself as Bruce, and questioning what a hero is and whether or not he's actually helping. Cannot wait for this.

 

You can legit tell he loves the character since he first talked about the film the first DC Fandome, which is fantastic. So happy he's directing the film.

I never asked for a three hour movie. who the fuck asked for a three hour movie?

 

Neither did I but I'm glad were getting one.

 

It was either that or the chopping block that never worked for WB's favor.

 

I'm glad mainly cause it means were gonna be able to get more of the full story (instead of shorting it which could hurt it) and mainly be able to go more in-depth with it and it's characters. And just explore this new universe and this Gotham.

 

if movies keep getting longer and longer then I want them to bring back intermissions

 

I like that it's three hours, honestly. From what we've heard from Reeves and Pattinson, the movie will cut deep into Bruce Wayne/Batman as a character, and will be a combination of a blockbuster and a psychological crime thriller. For a psychological crime thriller, a longer runtime is necessary to fit all the content in without making it feel rushed.

 

I’m gonna wear my Bat-adult-diapers to this one.  

 

Maybe Matt Reeves watches Bollywood movies in his spare time.

Not bad.

I didn't think it was too original, IMO, but that doesn't mean it's not working or effective.

But I will just have to see the whole three-hour film to give a solid judgement.

 

I seriously cannot wait for this, Matt's gonna kill it.
