You are absolutely right that nobody has asked for a X-Treme '90s G2 relaunch. Now a continuation of the G2 story.....

I would. Just not done by Liefeld. Footless on Cybertron nobody needs.

Core class is awks cos it's pretty expensive. £10+ for a teeny tiny bot seems like a lot. I remember when Cybertron first started the legends stuff they were about £3/4. Obviously they're a lot better but for a kid the authentics line seems way better value for money.

    Commander Stratosphere?

Ouch! Glad to see the contents made it ok. But that's terrible. How can a courier company operate when they deliver stuff in that shape?

Thanks guys. Not just my eyes then. I knew he had problems with his elbows doing that, suspected mine were like that for a while too, but didn't realise it was his entire thigh that went like that too. He's been in a box for ages so this is the first time in a good while I've looked at him properly. Now the debate is to leave him grey or paint him silver to compensate? I've already painted his legs and treads so he's not stock anymore.

    A pm incoming.

    :ev:

Honestly, slapping a Bulkhead head on an OS Hound would be better than Legacy. That said I'll pass :D  needing to be more sensible with money ATM

Oh got the little face poking out looks adorable on the toy :lol  still, an interesting design!

It'd make more sense if it were being done like that Cyberverse line from a few years back as a subline of TFP and Movie stuff where they also did playsets and stuff for the little figures to interact with and had it's own scale separate to the mainline. As part of the mainline along with bigger versions of the same figs it really does seem weird.

Ah, but that's what it ORIGINALLY was but thanks to Chinese Whispers/Telephone game it morphed into 'Starscream possessed Scorponok' :D

:lolol Is that the GoBot combiner?

I fear if it went to Marvel you'd have the plots be constantly pulled into constant BIG EVENTS even if it were separate to the main Marvel universe. Event fatigue is why I've basically stopped reading main Marvel titles as it's pretty pointless getting invested in an interesting storyline as it'll almost certainly get curtailed by the next big event. Like I saw complaints about Ironheart coming out of nowhere almost but I gather she was supposed to be introduced over time and more organically become Stark's heir almost, but then Civil War II happened so they had to rush things and a lot of the interactions between Stark and Riri were told in flashbacks.

Everything I've heard about IDW2 has made me feel it'd be better to read in Graphic Novel form rather than monthly...

BTW just a reminder again to anyone else who reads on Comixology. While right now it seems like if you already own comics IDW have lost the rights to they're still in your library - as shown by my digital copies of Revolution and Revolutionaries which are no longer available for purchase - I would suggest we all make use of the DRM free backup option Comixology offers before the end of the year, just in case!

It's worse than needing to read all the spinoffs. You're lead to believe you need to read them all but half the time the tie-ins are pretty inconsequential. One of the worst in terms of tie in but best in terms of not screwing with the ongoing story of the comic I read was they spent a page or two fighting with the aliens who were the current big threat or whatever on the way to their own plot :lol

    Fingers crossed!
Speaking of Velocity, in my as yet unnamed fan cartoon concept - not ever gonna get animated, just fun imagining an AU from the mentality of if it were a cartoon :D  - I'm imagining an Earth altmode for her of one of those Rapid Response Ambulance sportscars. Seems fitting for her :)

:sly: What am I being accused of exactly? :lol

I would be severely tempted by a big ol cargo plane Transformer!

That Dragonzord riding.... Titanicus? Pop looks adorable :lol

    Lol, maybe both? :D

I feel like if there's any creative team who could have continued after actually destroying Cybertron, it's them. Heck, I'm not convinced that was going to be the plan, there's a lot of foreshadowing for Unicron long before they likely knew the continuity was ending, I kind of feel like they retooled earlier plans for Unicron into a continuity finale honestly. I really should actually write up some of my ideas for 'Phase 4' in other words a post Unicron continuation of IDW. I think I generally imagine a TAAO type title involving the Cybertronians (and Elonians) and Humans all learning to live together, with a major plot point being a certain Prime from the past turning up to upset things one last time, and likely human groups not too pleased with Cybertronians setting up shop. In my mind Nautica and Velocity have moved over here as we know they went to Earth at some point.
Another one which would be something like MTMTE/LL though as I wouldn't be retconning anything they'd need a new ship for adventures. I already have a vague idea for The Scavengers involving Nickel finding clues that may lead to a Minicon Ark that survived the destruction of Prion!  TBH maybe just a Scavengers comic :lol
Most of these are just vague ideas but I have been meaning to flesh them out more and maybe give a shot at doing some 'comic panel recreations' though some characters lack good toys for them :-/ I could always try drawing them :D

Novastar/Firestar, one of the limbs for Elita Infin1te/Orthia.

Anybody having the same problems with the EE network as my GF? One site says their whole operation has been screwed since this morning, the rest all say it's fine

I patiently await Terry while marvelling at Stridor. I'm trying not to buy another one FFS...

TBH, with everything going on in the world right now I would not be sad to sit at home for another 6-12 months.

All my debts are paid, only downside is not as much money for toys

    Post has come!
Wasn’t expecting this yet as it was the 3rd item I ordered, 2nd to be dispatched but yet here it is. From Show.Z packed really well and no sign of coming from China or abroad so I’m guessing was pre-shipped to UK before being posted to me?

    I genuinely love that toy!

I don't think G2 had too many places left to go, to be honest. Furman quite literally went scorched earth at the end, and made it very difficult to start up again. I strongly suspect that was why he ignored it & revisited aspects of it instead in Regeneration One

To my mind the next logical post-G2 story would be a post apocalyptic take on Machine Wars, but that's burn itself out pretty quickly. While Regen One was ultimately less thsn satisfying (and in need of a savage editing), I think he probably took the best direction with it

(I have three post-Marvel continuities worked out in my head all of which can coexist due to various plot maguffins. The one that spins out of Earthforce is by far the most interesting!)

So close, and yet so far.

Waiting to see if the person who did the videos that helped me with Hook & Long Haul also does one for the combination.

Oh god. It would be bayverse sideswipe, demolisher and arcee's time to shine and jump continuities.

See now you're blowing my mind.

Go for it! Would be interested to see these ideas play out.

But you're right, plenty of fertile ground there for more stories. Certainly plenty to be made of earth being a massive refugee camp. Looking at the broader strokes, Refugees and destroyed planets on galactic scale, empires (solstar and black block) shattered, heroes dead, baddies still out there (galactic council, Deathsaurus). There is plenty of potential conflict and stories to be told there. Not to mention the Omega Guardians.

Hope you find something soon dude

Man I am really loving the latest wave of new arrivals, Terrorsaur is especially good - I'm really liking his look in bot mode with that wing swap I lifted from that other thread :)

Hmmm I agree with a lot of the above sentiment. I've been picking up the collected hardcovers as they've come out. And the fact they've been collected in 12issue volumes rather than 5-6 has made it incredibly slow going!

I've just received the latest Vol and it's at the point where I probably need to re-read the preceding 3 (or the wiki summary at least) to figure out where we're at.

I'm hoping the new license holder takes things in a new and more exciting direction.

Random - Bill Cipher in Simpsons? The multiverse is real!

Hasbro - Terrorsaur is a bit of alright (just the feet are a little loose on mine).
Newage - David is nice, but that is a hell of a cost £75... ouch. Need to think carefully about that one.
Sales - Badcube Grump and MMC Cliffjumper need to go on the sales pile. Probably a mirage too.

Can you imagine him drawing female transformers...

Day 8 of being inside... Just 2... more... days...

Windstorm is currently at 4 out of 6 wheels thanks to my LEGO skateboard wheels arriving. Amusingly a more generous cost-to-wheel ratio than I originally thought as the listing said 8x wheels I expected 4 total but it turns out that the vendor was counting by the pair, not the wheels so I have now got 6 spare! Should be plenty as it seems it would be rather difficult for it to go that badly for me now, though this may be the custom that finally sees me pick up a proper set of nippers - I need to do some very flat clipping at an awkward angle for the last pair of tyres!
