Update #3: FedEx said that I should ask ToyDojo to contact FedEx directly to inquire about the whereabouts and status of the package. I emailed ToyDojo this morning, and they responded promptly, saying they would escalate it and open a package trace. Hoping for the best.
I honestly can not believe the bad luck you are having with these seekers. Thank god it’s only toys and not something important.
Waiting on Sure Thing Toys to come through with Skywarp, slowly...ever so slowly...making peace with the shade of purple we're getting.
Whelp, Flight ban was extended till Feb 4th, Couldn't cancel my preorder from RK so I guess I'll wait *Audible pain noises*
Ugh same here, my Skywarp from RobotKingdom still hasn’t been able to leave Hong Kong due to no flights or no containers…
Jeez ShowZ still saying 1-2 weeks to recieve theirs! Never known them this slow before! There's a reasonable chance of me not getting all my box flaps together in time to send to my man in Japan at this rate!
Makes you wonder if that's what's behind this, eh? They've only got enough kits to supply the Japanese buyers and don't want a load of Brits and Yanks (others countries are available) nicking their stock and disappointing the locals... *removes foil hat because it's itchy*
Any distributor that gets shipments by air from Hong Kong is grounded atm and might continue to be for weeks to come.
Yikes. Man I hope it gets to you. Maybe as an option for next time...have fedex re-route the package to a facility (like a local FedEx Print n ship place?) to hold for you so you sign for it there? I've had luck with that before because it goes straight to a FedEx location if I know I won't be home on the day of delivery. They hold it for you for a bit so you can go down there and pick it up.
So I finally got my MP-52+SW today and aside from a few minor paint issues, someone at the factory decided to overtighten the screw in the leg and it's cracked the plastic. This meant that the leg panel wasn't sitting flush, which in turn meant that the knee wouldn't lock. I've managed to get it to lock now, but slightly worried it'll crack entirely with repeated movement of the knee joint, which would render the entire thing useless thanks to the way in which it works (there's a tiny piece that catches against a flap inside the leg when everything is tabbed securely together). Thankfully I don't manipulate my figures all that much, so fingers crossed it'll be okay, but it's a bummer. I've had obvious QC issues on all three of these now... This shows it better: Anyway, I still love the mould aesthetically speaking, and it does look pretty nice on the shelf. I'm still not a fan of the purple, but it's marginally less egregious in hand (marginally). They look good as a trio. Oh yeah, also had super tight joints across the board, so much so I had to loosen the shoulders and elbows to prevent it disengaging the butterfly joint and the arm transformation joint.
I said this upthread to someone else who received a damaged SW: contact the seller and ask for a replacement. Why should you have to accept a very expensive product that was damaged in the factory?
yeah dude, idk how you have 3 seekers with QC issues and shipping delays and you're just willing to leave it alone. i mean, it's your life, but i'd be lighting a fire under my retailer ass. the way all 3 of these seekers have been handled by takara is shameful. masterpiece is their golden boy line and they refuse to release products that aren't falling apart out of the box as they keep raising prices.
My feelings too. When I was 3 for 3 with tailfin cracks I was annoyed so I can just imagine how you are feeling. I don't mind the purple but a lighter shade would look nicer to me. And cosmetic finish is really hit and miss, not necessarily improved with repaints.
Final update: FedEx finally located the package. Apparently it had been sitting on a delivery truck for the last week, but no driver ever delivered it. FedEx be slipping lately. Looking forward to opening it and seeing for myself what the purple REALLY is.
They're consistently garbage tier deliveries. Like just today, ups delivers and puts under the front door cover and in a bag because raining. Fedex? They just stick it 6 feet away on the front step in the pouring rain...
