If this hypothetical thief's plan is to just walk out the door with a figure a window or not won't make a difference. And they're not going to stuff shit in a box if their goal is to just walk out the door with it because they don't give a shit about the empty box they'd leave behind.

Hell, they probably don't even care about removing it from the box because that's more work than just walking out with it.

They might have the OCD and need to refill something they emptied, but you're right. A quiet moment and enough pockets they could empty the shelves. I get where folks are coming from. If you're about to sink £55 on a figure, a window (even a tiny one) to check the right thing's in there would be nice.

 

They've sold more expensive toys in closed boxes for decades.

The cool thing is that for those of us who initially passed it's a second shot at ER Starscream with a great set of accessories for only an extra $20.

Worth it considering the going rate on an ER Starscream even now.

 

Nice. I'm still interested in getting a copy, although a good portion of that is just for the non-screaming head that will be going to Skywarp (or Starscream if it's darker than the silver of the regular Seekers) and the coronation accessories. But even then, ER Screamer's a good figure.

 

Retail overall, you're right. However every shop I've been in selling Commanders and Titans have them on high shelves and/or have them tied up to a security tag. These new leaders will be treated like the old leaders who were thrown in with the voyagers and deluxes.
