They are not bad ideas but I prefer that the turbomasters look more like themselves

here are my ideas:

punch\counterpunch => boss would just have to remove the panel that extends from his chest and replace it with his weapon

sideswipe => hurricane only leaves room in his legs to put the gun

from there on out i agree with you with flash and scorch

 

I thought about P/CP for Boss but the only real similarities between the two are the bot shoulders. Plus that mold is 5 years old now and not really on par with WfC/Legacy figures in terms of scale or articulation. Also there was supposed to be a botcon exclusive boss from prime wheeljack so this would act as a nice homage to what could have been.

I also don’t see the WfC Sideswipe mold working either. End up being too wide and thin for the arm to look good is they want combined modes. I went with Dragstrip mainly to keep more than just Thunderclash being a stunticon remold so it is more likely to get a combined mode for the turbo masters.

Nothing confirmed, the rumors just kinda spun off of the "Motormaster into Thunderclash" idea

 

upcoming pointblank might fit boss better. ideally boss could be done rly well from drift, but there's no new one on the horizon

If I gotta pay $100 for a Thunderclash, it better be as close as Hasbro can get to his original likeness. Hasbro shouldn't half-ass the expensive ones.

As well you know, I’m in agreement on the combiners not showing up in LEG ❄️ 2, however I’d not really given much consideration to them then coming in LEG ❄️ 3. I shall meditate on this.

As well you know, I too am a proponent of getting the Brainmaster cars. As well you know, I don’t think Blacker will be a voyager. I imagine this’ll come down to whether the design team want to evoke the feel of the old toys on bot mode, where they all stood at the same height, or whether they’ll prioritise a combined mode and create more torso mass. The 3rd option, of course is that they just don’t bother with combined mode (the 4th option is they don’t bother with Brainmaster cars. I’m not yet prepared to countenance this).

 

another question, will there be g2 redecos of the stunticons? and if so will they be in a boxset like the cw ones or sold indivually? (they would most likely be in gen selects, if hasbro ever made em)

 

well there is no rumor

 

Nobody knows for sure but since we have been getting G2 versions of other characters in Gen Selects very likely. They could end up doing box sets of both G1 and G2 stunticons like they did with SS Devastator. I think most of the recent combiners eventually got box sets if they weren’t exclusively sold in one, like the Titan combiners.

When you meditate, think seriously about not only the possibility of combiners, but the identity of the next one. Aerialbots -> Predators is obviously fun if one thinks Menasor will become the Turbomasters, Bruticus has the most repaint potential, Defensor is probably the one most in need of an update, Victorian is not far behind Defensor in terms of updating (even if she's not an OG G1er), etc. I expect an incredibly detailed analysis with plenty of research and footnotes.

The fifth option is that Blacker's at the voyager or leader pricepoint, but is the same size as the two (hypothetical) deluxe figures, just with tons of accessories to make up the weapons, chest shield, arms, etc. A combiner skeleton like Menasor, essentially. Can you countenance an auxiliary vehicle that turns into arms, chest shield, combiner head, etc. to preserve the Brainmaster heights while still allowing for a competent combined form? Do we give the auxiliary vehicle a name? Maybe a Combinulator?

 

Speaking of Victorion, I wonder what they'd do with Rust Dust now that any potential new Defensor would have Groove as a limb and not a chestplate. Does Rust Dust get cut, replace a copter twin, or do they just make 5 limbs so you can get any 4?

 

Probably just cut the extra copter for the simplicity of a head swap repaint

 

If we really do move to one combiner a year, I think Victorian (if and when she happens) would be significantly more distinct from the other combiners than she is now - there might be a lot of re-CAD-ing, but they'd probably make new molds across the board and a new Rust Dust would be a proper chest plate entirely different from Groove (maybe she'd be a deluxe, but CJ sized with some useful accessories).

On Big Motorvator, I’m…prepared to accept both a correctly tall (we don’t say say **a*e) Voyager class Blacker and a helicopter attachment for the baja buggy (Bob, what’s a baja buggy? Is it distinct from a beach buggy? Or a dune buggy? Is the beach buggy distinct from the dune buggy? We don’t have much call for buggy’s in West Yorkshire, so I’m at something of a loss.)

I think it’s be romantic if we named it after ourselves? I suggest Bobarry. It sounds less inbred than BarryBob.

 

I say if they do a new Victorion, make Rust Dust able to form a limb, or a "gun" like the seacons. Finally give the seacons a proper autobot counter, as well as Victorion.

Also repaint those Victorion girls into the Decepticon versions.
