Then explain the Lucky Draw Blue Big Convoy and the Legends EX Blue Big Convoy. Colors may not be exactly the same, but the LG EX figure is definitely a reference to the Lucky Draw figure

Why should I explain anything when you already did. The colors are not the same.

So then why would a potential call back to the lucky draw have to be the same for primal? You are the one that stated it wouldn't be done with the original mold while LG EX Blue Big Convoy kind of disproves your assertion. Hell, even the current re-released bw figures aren't entirely the same colors as their original releases

That's it. Every mass release Beast Wars Transformer acquired. Will likely take a break before I start delving into the exclusives, but with the help of @Kid Icarus my childhood dream came true today. I finally have all that creeps, crawls and flies. :D

I also nabbed the reissue Tigatron yesterday for my birthday. Was sorely tempted to open him. In fact I may eventually crack and get both him and Cheetor again to have versions to open, given how poorly my Hasbro 10th reissue Cheetor gels with my collection. (aside form the near-translucent yellow I custom painted it and pretty poorly at that)

Also had no luck finding Kingdom Tigatron but I did see Kingdom Waspinator in person and... while he doesn't look bad, in hand he didn't look great. He's small and the sculpt isn't that great up close. I hemmed and hawed but for $34 Canadian I couldn't. I'll stick with the T30 version unless Kingdom Waspy ends up on sale or something.

But you said there's "zero chance" of it being the original mould, then agree with a potential workaround with the original mould. I feel like that was the original point of contention rather than explicit accuracy to the LD's actual colours.

So, now that I've 'completed" the BW toyline and has experienced every mould,it's interesting looking at the line overall.

I definitely think this is one of the best TF lines ever. The shear variety and number of unique designs, sculpts, and play patterns is honestly kind of staggering. And yet despite that massive spectrum I'd say the majority of the toys are genuinely great, and average higher than modern TF toys in my opinion. The colours, paint jobs, sculpts, and just liveliness of the toys is fantastic, and I can pick up almost any one of of them and be met with bold colours and fun character design. Some of the later figures are definitely clunkier, and not all are winners. Out of all the BW toys I honestly think Noctorro may be the worst. Yes, even worse than Retrax, because as bad as Retrax's compromises to his gimmick are, Noctorro compromises almost everything for his gimmick and it doesn't even work. The spring-loaded wings flap down but there's no mechanism to flap them up so you have to manually reset it, and the arms don't even stay plugged in. Also the hands are sculpted at a genuinely bizarre angle that looks wrong in both modes. Shame because the sculpt and colours are fantastic, he looks like a demon and is visually everything I love about Beast Wars.

I think my favourite figures overall though may be TM Cheetor, OG Cybershark, Fuzor Silverbolt, any 1996/97 Basic, and Tripredacus. It was actually hard to narrow it down to those, and as I type I'm debating other figures that fall into my favourites like almost any other Transmetal toy. (especially Waspinator) Honestly feels pretty fulfilling in a small way to have them all at last. :3

Noctorro?! With his ball-joint ankle tilts 20 years before it was cool?!

Nah, that's a fair assessment of him.

Poor lil guy. Can't decide if he's a giant bull-thing with wings or a tiny bat-thing with bull head. Either way he's curled up in a liddle ball of self-doubt.

If he literally didn't have the wing flap gimmick I'd love him. He looks cool as hell and despite his simplicity has theoretically good articulation. He has a waist swivel unrelated to the transformation and ball jointed everything.

Those hands though. Literally only good for facepalming or standing like a skulking T. Rex arms guy. I feel like he should've been a deluxe.

Noctoro never bothered me. I used to spend hours playing with him. His little flapping gimmick was fun. It's his legs that bothered me. How are they supposed to look natural? There's nowhere for them to go.

Hey, do you guys want my complete checklist? I say complete, it doesn't have things like the Kayba gum and stuff. But it's close

I write BW fanfics. Something I like to do because of this:

    image.jpg

Is include the rest of the toy line. I can’t help it having them all out like this influences by writing muse a lot.

one thing I’m working on to manage the cast herd is figure out ways to place everyone into sub-groups be it based on function, beast mode, or some combo of both.

I’ve also read through all the toy bios, marvel bios, dreamwave bios, and IDW bios to understand the different character/personality archetypes and their motivations of the heroes and villains to help them stand apart from each other.

I used to arrange Maximal groups like they were different crews of ships that landed on different parts of Earth. i.e. Wolfang, Boldfang (I call Howlitzer) and Survive would be on the crew that landed in like North America, Leo Prime and O. Primal has multiple interactions. Snarl was a survivalist lone scout in Tasmania... kinda like Tigatron in the show.

I wouldn’t even know how to start managing the cast of all three BW series. To even manage the original/first series I still had to cut out some characters. Granted some were easier than others. The show/comics made the Tripredacus and Magnaboss trios into government leaders for their factions. I can just pretend Scavenger is TM Inferno. Shokaract and the characters related to him are part of their own storyline unrelated to the BW.

I also exclude the G1 veterans. Though they can still be guest stars.

I then cut out the McDonalds exclusives because well… several reasons but I don’t feel like getting into them now. Anyways it even things out at 32 for each side. Which is good because I’m not sure I can figure out any more “Good guy” Autobot or Maximal personalities than that. And it lets me trim down the excess ‘Con personalities that are either lacking or overlap with one another.

    Here's a moderately in-depth checklist. it isn't perfect, but it's pretty close.
    Best Beast Wars Figures
Never mind the numbers, I was using them for the BW poll.

What is this slander against Noctorro?!

M'kay yeah, his arms are kinda bad, at like everything. And he's a bit repetitive of Torca, despite being a completely different fusion. But he's also this crazy Cowboy Batman of Moo Mesa: Chaos Effect. Noctorro's neat.

Something I’m trying to figure out how to work with regarding a larger cast is in the final season of BW this would result in a schism in the Predacons between Megatron’s loyalists or slaves (Rampage) and those who realize his plans will erase them from existence. Blackarachnia basically starts up her own faction like in that one Golden Disk card.

the other option is killing characters off over the course of the war which I have mixed feelings about

I think it says a lot that the 'worst' BW figure is still exceptionally sculpted, well-painted, and has articulation only surpassed by the recent adherence to standard posability set by WFC.

If his hands were just sculpted in literally any direction away from the arm, even at a 45 degree angle, he'd be far more enjoyable to me.

I had Noctorro, and he did not survive my first ever downsizing. He had potential sure, but was ruined by the gimmick and the strange arms.
