It’s my 3 year old daughter’s favourite movie, and the songs are constantly on in our house.

I was really excited about receiving my Eagle Starscream…. It’s like I was Waiting On A Miracle.

Pretty easy. Swap out of the led heads neck piece. Be careful there's a tiny piece for the button I almost lost. But there goes the only problem I had with screamer. The plastic color matches for anyone wanting to try

Great now it's stuck in my head again... Thanks

I didn't think encanto was that great, not like it was bad or anything just not as great as it's being made out to be. Luca is the animation of the year for me

My KO Starcream arrived from ShowZ this morning. 15 days after being sent so it's a little slow for the express shipping option. Anywho he looks great! I'm gonna leave him in plane mode and the Eagle when it arrives will be in bot mode. Think I'm gonna sell my DS-01 Crimson Wings when it gets here, really happy with the MP-52 mold.

I got Starscream, and I like him, but very mixed.
    • For one, it feels brittle around some areas, and I was afraid while I was transforming him if he'd break.
    • Lose ankles, seems to be a common issue.
    • Color matching isn't good, notably with the red.
    • Looseness during transformation
Most of the other problems aren't really about this KO, but rather MP-52 itself, so I'll let that slide. But if you are able to put up with these flaws, MP-52 KO might be a great purchase, though your money might be better spent with the EG-01 in regards to QC from what I've heard.

I'll definitely try to buy the other seekers when that time comes. Direct KO or not.

Does anyone have the DS version as well? Does the head of the KO fit on DS?

    DS is bigger than MP-52.

[Edit] That pic doesn't do a good job conveying the difference in head sizes. This post should make it clearer.

Yea, as I figured. Thanks man for the comparison. I had the MP and sold it right away and opted for DS. Much better IMHO, but DS needs to step up and male some alternate faces..

The KO is pretty good. What I don't understand is why they haven't painted that arm piece gray. Does anyone know if there is any Tamiya gray that might match the one on the arm? Thanks in advance.

Unlike the KO MP Thundercracker, The Eagle Thundercracker has a matching elbow color. I guess I did make a good decision between the two since that would bug me if I found out in the end it was the other way around.

It sounds like the KO and Eagles heads are the same size based on what I have read on this thread but is it just me or does the head seem too big? Just wondering since next to my Maketoys and Igear and Hasbro Seekers there is a big difference. Given I already have a bunch of seekers these new MP seekers don't blend well together as much as I would want and it sort of bugs me still. DS Thundercracker head seems to be a better size than either MT, the eagle, MP, or MP KO.

I would have never noticed a tiny detail like that. You guys are very thorough. lmao. I did notice those extra holes on eagles pelvis area though. Can't be unseen!

The holes are small and not something that bothers me. I'm more frustrated by the size of the head. DS head size is better proportion. Does anyone know if there is a flight stand out there for DS?

Is the size of the head not accurate to the TT MP52? Is it bigger or smaller? or is it the case of takara's head design thats off?

This is the first seeker mold with a decently proportioned head. Previous versions (especially the MakeToys ones) were hopelessly pinheaded. It might take a bit of getting used to though, considering we’re all pretty accustomed to undersized heads on our figures :p

I was going to use the term pin heads to describe the MP, Eagle, and KO MP since it seems to big for the body. Yeah, I agree MT and the old ones were too small. DS head looks best. Does anyone know if the KO LED head will fit on the eagle? (I'm assuming such since they look like the same size)

You might’ve been thinking of the term bobble-head :)

idk, I only heard the expresses a couple times before and it was describe small people with dis-proportionally big heads compare to their small bodies. (the one example people who do cable news not in a negative way, but rather to point out that body type is chosen (popular) since it looks better in a tv camera). The stem of a pin is small and the thing on top is dis-proportionally big.

Transformer toys usually have small heads compared to the size of their body -- at least, according to human proportions. This is most likely because figuring out a transformation is already difficult and a smaller head helps. Plus a smaller head makes the body look bigger and therefor more powerful. (Add to this that the G1 toys were designed to be human operated mechs so no real nead for human proportions.)

However the current MP's aims for cartoon accuracy and the animation models were made more human, thus bigger heads. But every other version of a MP seeker has a small head to ease transformation or to make the body look stronger (Maketoys very much so). But if you compare a shot from the cartoon with MP-52 from the same angle, then the head is pretty accurate in size.

I think I prefer the smaller size on DS or MP-11.

I still think MP11 has a great headsculpt. More robotic and sinister. I get that's not the appeal of DS and MP52. If I were into cartoon accuracy I'd love the MP52 headsculpt, but I'm not and I don't. Nice to see the KOs are coming out well though. That makes my heart soar like an Eagle!
