Honestly, I agree with you on that. I do prefer the look of the head sculpt on the older CHUG figures which has almost a Megatron quality to it, but the PotP figure is technically most accurate although his head might be a bit too pointed at the top.

They aren’t. Notice how that box isn’t big enough for both those figures packaging.

 

So these two finally arrived, on Tuesday.

Rig is a beauty and my only gripe is the figure doesn’t have full ankle articulation with toe movement back and forth. The paint apps are gorgeous.

XTB Perceptor is really weighty and cleans up nicely. A couple of niggles with the figure. X-transbots have certainly upped their game with Janssen.

I'm about to send this replacement Rodimus back and just say "forget it." It just arrived, and the back wheels were sticking outward on the car portion. Imagine an elephant sitting on a VW beetle and you'll get an idea of the back wheels look like. They weren't tabbed in place. Had difficulty tabbing them. Once they snapped in, they would give the appearance of being straight, but once I set the car down, the wheels flare out in the back again.


Trying to tab his head in place is an annoyance. I may just send this one back and keep the first one with the front hub defect. The only good thing so far is that the trailer actually closes for the most part.

Im just disgusted at this point.

Combine the good parts from each figure and make a perfect one.

 

Unfortunately, I can't do that for everything. I'm keeping the replacement trailer, but both bots are messed up in some way. Im keeping the newer one. The problem is, the idiot who packaged this one didn't transform it correctly. I guess however long it's been packaged it's been semi warping to this shape. I've got it tabbed correctly now and the wheels are more stable.

Still, tabbing the head/neck piece is a pain to tab into place. 2 hours in and I'm still trying to get him into robot mode. Slag wasn't that hard to figure out and his dino legs completely disappear!
