If it's to do with ROTB, then maybe it's a sign that marketing material may be on the way soon.

Maybe but It is a little too soon for that since it doesn't come out till June 2023 (unless it's pushed up), but maybe since they stopped posting a week or two after ROTB got delayed.

I don't believe anything new was stated in this, it just seems to regurgitate everything we know of already.

This doesn't even look like it's been officially endorsed by Hasbro or Paramount.

Pretty sure they mixed something up. Scourge is not a Kenworth JF. Those are new trucks, with shorter nose. It looks more like a Peterbilt 359.

They also mixed up Wheeljack. There's no way that he's a 64' VW Bus. that windshield (commonly known as a Bay Window Bus) was only made from 1968 to 1979 atleast in the states but the starting year is the first year of that type. They added the "V" shape to Wheeljack. the modified a "bay window" to look like a "Split window" Bus

Contacted TwinSticksGarage (Canadian trucker youtuber) and he confirmed that Scourge is indeed a Peterbilt 359.

Funny that they chose the 359, which according to some internet searching is considered the direct predecessor to the 379 which we all should be quite familiar with by now.

    Makes you wonder.

reminds me of the C4500 Topkick, the direct predecessor of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. So clearly TLK Bumblebee is ROTB Battletrap!!!

Seriously though, can we put this fake plot leak/rumour to bed yet?

The 359 is more well-known, just like the 379. Think he meant that.

Cause the 389 wouldn't be made till 2006.
And it's not only not the "direct predecessor" but it's also not Optimus's truck from the first 3 movies and still one of the most famous ones.

You would think that but nope.

The way the numbering works for the Peterbilts from what I can find is weird. The Model 359 was introduced in 1967. The Model 353 was introduced in 1973.

The Model 378, apparently, is identical to the 379 save for what the hood is made of. Similar to trim levels on modern cars.

What does the 389 have to do with anything? Prime turns into the 379.

Otherwise, there's a looooot of shit they need to fix on the TFwiki.

That doesn’t really work as an argument though. Making an untrue statement about the connection between a Topkick and a Camaro doesn’t compare to the connection between two very similar semi trucks. Plus his statement was just “makes you wonder,” not “this is 100% proof that Scourge is Optimus.”

Indeed, without knowing the actual specific cues to identify a Peterbilt 359 from a 379, simply seeing the truck could have been what inspired the rumor of Scourge being Movie Prime in the first place as the trucks do look identical (given they're essentially successive models from the same production line). Indeed, the counter argument that I'm amazed nobody actually put up almost immediately is that if Scourge is Bayverse Prime, then why didn't they just use the 379 again since that was around in the 1990s as well? It's not like that's a rare truck model such that they couldn't get another several to turn into a Mad Max Fury Road prop.

Oh, wait, that would have required looking things up instead of making knee-jerk reactionary posts.
