I'm surprised people still watch BSF for transformation tutorials. The dude is a caveman when it comes to transforming figures lol

 

Nah, we don't watch him for transformation. We watch for his thoughts on the figures themselves. We watch it for the review. A lot of times I skip the transformations for a lot of reviews.

 

Has anyone changed out Janssens head? It's annoying that none of the reviewers I've seen don't even bother to show you how as well as the instructionbook.
It's supposed to slide off a mushroom peg, but it's on their TIGHT. I don't want to break the dang thing. Anyone got any tips?

 

Same - I think he'd rather not do the transformation on camera but he probably feels obliged to cause that's what people expect. Unfortunately it also means he tends not to transform a number of times before showing it unlike Paik and others so it's done much more smoothly

Just unboxed my copy from @ShowZStore and at first blush it's nice and tight, passes the shake test easily and nothing broken out of the box. So far, so good.

 

Is he like Chunk from the Goonies, give to him and count how long til he breaks it, lol!

 

BSF would probably be the first one to agree with you. He says something along those lines every once in a while. A few years back when he was still doing a short skit in each video he had one where he was sitting on his couch with one of his kids and she asked why people watch his videos for the transformation to which he replied he didn't know.

 

There was more I wanted to do but I felt like I was spinning my wheels.

I could not get the damn thing to come off the way you would think, just slide it off, so I braced across the back and pushed and it slid right off! After that I found out by accident that trying to slide it off the normal way but rocking the top of the head back while sliding it also makes it come right off. Both of these with hardly any pressure and the latter without any stress on any parts, just feels wrong but smooth. My results anyway.

 

I contacted XTB this morning and they are already shipping out the replacement should area today. I wish Takara was as responsive as XTB and FT.

 

I've sent him a number of things ( Joel W.), and I've pretty much made my position is that if something was going to break, there's just as much a chance of it happening to him as it would to me. I even was going to send him my Cacus in December, but when I saw posts here of people with arms broken in the box, I knew I couldn't feel right if he were to make a recommendation for him based on a figure that only had a couple of the most minor issues and not the big major one.

 

I like Bobby's Reviews very much, and I pay attention to his views and opinions. But I keep in mind, as everyone else should, Bobby is not a transformation's guy and can be, by his own admission, a bit heavy handed. His reviews are informative, fairly accurate and fun, but they are also, to a fair degree, subjective and only based on the figure he has in hand, and should not be considered a scathing indictment of an entire figure line.

 

While XTB certainly has more than its fair share of QC problems, in my experience it's definitely true that it has by far the most responsive aftercare in the TF market.

Still don't know why XTB couldn't be bothered to give us a heads up about this unconventional way of head removal, but oh well....

 

I mean at least if something actually survives Bobby, it’s probably a solid figure you don’t have to be too careful with.

 

I had trouble getting the stock head on and off. Didnt fit the IDW one as it felt the mushroom peg would snap.

looks good , all over a black repaint of perceptor but i think i would go with fanstoys this time if they done a repaint too

 

I keep debating if I should "open to inspect" my Tesla 2.0 when I get it or if I should just sell is sealed. I'm curious to open it just to compare to Janssen.
