I never painted something so small, but I am tempted to paint the eyes of Windblade in the style of the eyes in Transformers Prime.

No, because any well adjusted person I've shown this to have seen a cool geisha robot first and foremost, and then their next response is "oh wait are this jet parts? Is that a transformer?". Not once have they seen it as anything specificly shameful or creepy.

It's a model kit of a robot with some vague jet bits hanging off. So what if it's also a girl?

 

I admit I was just doing a bit of good natured trolling. As far as products of this type go this is far from the worst. Looks like it would be a nightmare to put together with all those those tiny parts tho.

 

And you caught four of them so I guess the trolling was effective. Given the history of fembot threads on this site, though, and the explicit warning in the thread title, I'm not sure I can agree it was good-natured. Or at least I would say it was ill advised.

 

But seriously though, how much of a pain in the ass would it be to fully put one of these together and with how much painting?

And I mean come on, let's be real, you could totally get a good laugh out of this with your mates.

 

On the first count, should be relatively easy. If it's your first model kit, you might find yourself with some difficulties handling any potentially small parts (the halves of the wrist joint in particular stand out at first glance), but the actual assembly work should be quite painless. Snip the parts off the runner, trim off the mold flash, peg together. Done. No glue or other finishing techniques required.

No. I like experimental/stylistic toys. Plus I wanna see this sell well where we get more fembots in this style. I HAVE NO SHAME!!!

 

I think it's doable as long as my cat doesn't jump on my table.
Only model kits I have built were a couple of Snap Tite planes as practice waiting for this kit, but I have worked with small pieces in customs, and generally have more problems with my fingers getting glued to pieces than manipulating small parts, and this kit uses no glue.

you might be able to find some kind of sticker to go on the inside. It looks like WB's eyes are clear. So say a small round silver sticker will look like glowing pupils... I think I'm stealing your idea...
