Thank you for this amazing Christmas GIFt. A fantastic end to this unfortunate year.

As always your animation is top notch but the colours really add something special given the lack lustre colours of the old Marvel comic.

Happy New Year to you, good sir!!

Yeah sure, just give me... *looks at watch* a couple of decades!

Thanks dude! Hopefully I manage to keep the flavour of the comic but, like with the colours and backgrounds etc, add a depth that was missing. One thing's for sure, my recreations won't have any crowds of entirely red Autobots and entirely blue Decepticons! ;)

Happy New Year to you all!

Here's my contribution to this thread. It's not too much, but I hope that it's a marker of progress for me.

Happy New Year to you too.

You enhanced the flavour of the comics. In fact you may have started an addiction...

Like most of us, I was shocked to hear about Derrick J Wyatt's passing recently. The show was so clearly full of love and respect for the brand, and that bold, imaginative art style was extremely refreshing, particularly at the time (and the toyline was a perfect translation of screen to sculpt).

So anyway, I had to dig out one of only two Animated figures I own and do this in his honour...

Damn. This just makes me want more. It looks so smooth, like all your work, and the blending is fantastic. It's always obvious the amount of love and care you put into each one of these.

I have to admit that I do not know who he was till after his death. Your animation looks beautiful and is a great way to honor him.

Thanks! It came out well I guess, but I always see the flaws lol. For example usually I use stills from dvds to get my backgrounds, but since I don't have any Animated on disc this scene was screen-grabbed frame by frame off the Internet (so the picture quality isn't as sharp as I'd like it to be). Also the Leader Bulkhead, although a great toy, has a few compromises such as a permanent hand saw and those added missile parts on the arms.
Cheers! It's always sad to lose the creative minds behind the scenes but he was just way too young. To be honest Animated almost passed me by at the time, the story and characters weren't really my cup of tea, but it was the unique stylised look of the designs and the nods to G1 that made me appreciate it :thumb

Awesome dude! :thumb  Think the Blurr one is my fave. I love the Sharkticon figure but wish they'd added articulation to the alt mode arms (when I did a gif of it I cheated and had them angled out higher than they can really go).

X-Transbot's Janssen... I was looking for a good Perceptor transformation scene to recreate and was surprised to find that most of the time (excluding his first appearance in Dinobot Island) he just turns into a giant non-mass-shifting microscope. Not even a TF robot-scaled microscope, mind, just a honkin' great big piece of science equipment the size of a bus :lol

Anyway this looked like a pretty rad transformation under fire for him, from Webworld...

FansToys Rig... Had to do some of my trademark transformation magic to make this one flow! For those unaware, the figure does a clever flip around when switching between modes, so the feet form the cab front/doors, and part of his backpack becomes the rear of the truck. Ingenious, but not conducive to a smooth gif :lol  :thumb

Cheers! It's weird how, knowing that the whole figure basically turns backwards halfway through, when I look at the gif it just looks perfectly natural :lol  I've fooled myself with it!

These are great! It’s hard to believe you haven’t made a stop motion in over 10 years!
