Huge sigh of relief to get my Jester and Viper pre-orders in. Been a long-term, low-level worry that I wouldn't be able to complete my MP Superion, who was my absolute favourite TF as a kid.

Now to begin the long-term, low-level worry about how much it's gonna cost...

Still not sure whether I buy these. I think I might just wait it out and see how they turn out, and risk missing out, since I already have the Zeta bots. These are very tempting because they look gorgeous but I don't really need another set of Aerialbots, even though I want another set. Plus, you know, it's a lot of money to commit to in advance (and I've already got minibots and Perceptor to worry about).

Got confused by the names though - didn't realise Fireflight was 30D. So maybe he'll be the next one after all. Poor Slingshot always gets left until last, it seems.

They have the ability. They never lower their prices. Only increase. That's a logical fallacy of an argument.
Over here in New Zealand, prices are through the roof compared to many other (but not all, to be fair) western countries right now - why should I support a company (and there are many) who is price gouging when I can go elsewhere for less? Unless, of course, it's something like a supermarket, and then we're just screwed either way. I've worked for some of these businesses too, so I'm not just making things up.
Or since you live in Australia, I figure Briscoes over there must have a sale every other day just like they do here. Often 50% off a lot of stuff. If that's not markup, they'd be out of business, yet business is booming for them.
Oh, and our tax situation is potentially even worse than yours. Doesn't help that our inflation is just about on par with America's, despite already being one of the most expensive countries to live in (and with Auckland being one of the most expensive cities to live in on the planet, something like top 20 or 30, if I remember correctly).
If a business wants my money, they have to be competitive. I'm sympathetic to competing with Chinese businesses - it's not easy - but you can't just charge tons more and tell me to deal with it. I want something for my money (and no, customer service rarely counts, since most companies are useless at that anyway but will price gouge you regardless).

Side note, the BC Grump, DX9 Powerglide, and the XTB Cosmos are going to be hard to top. But hey this is FT and FOMO is a real diagnosable phobia.
