I also bought a few groceries earlier today. Fridge was getting empty a little bit. Bought my favorites from Cheeseballs/cheese curds to taco bowl salad stuff, DiGiorno stuffed crust, pears, bananas and lunch meat. i was checking out the meat section where the interesting stuff is in behind the glass counters. Grocery store has jalapeno and tequila chicken wings. Talk about overdoing it. The tequila flavor I can probably handle but the jalapeno flavoring for the chicken wings, good grief
First new office chair I've purchased in about 8 years. I didn't use the previous chair very much until I started working from home about two years ago. I decided to take a risk on an Amazon Warehouse Deal getting this chair for almost half price. No complaints so far!
HDMI extending cable Twisted Metal: Black on PS4 for 5 bucks. Don't know if the sale is still going but for 10 bucks, it's a good buy.
Please let people know if you are using this to make food that other people you don't know will be eating. If I had known that Papa Johns used high gluten flour for their pizza crusts I would have been diagnosed with celiac disease 20 years earlier than I got my diagnosis, but all I knew was that Papa Johns pizza gave me horrible stomach aches and bloating followed in rapid succession by an epic case of the shits. I assumed it was something in the sauce because no other pizza made me that sick (when you don't know you are a celiac, you feel moderately bad all the time, so you don't notice that eating non-high gluten food makes you feel bad, because you're always eating gluten, but not to that degree.) I didn't find out until after my cousin went vegan and fed me seitan. Holy crap, I thought I was going to die.
Brutal. Yeah, when I hand out food in the office I'm very careful about warning people of anything out of the ordinary. We've got some folks with nut allergies, some with gluten problems, and some with cinnamon allergies.
My office has a notoriously bad HVAC system. While the rest of the building can be normal, my office is either way hot or way cold. They've tried to fix it, but the problem keeps coming back again and again. This simple device seems to be working well. It's your basic block of ice in front of a fan trick. It has a water tank and a filter that wicks up the water as the fan blows air through. You can even freeze the wet filter to get maximum cooling. I can finally work comfortably in the winter now. I just need to keep it clean and not let it get moldy or anything. Not bad for $12.50 at Walmart. (it was on clearance)
A tres leche cake for me dad. It's his birthday today. He has been around for 84 years. I'm hoping for many more years. Happy birthday, dad.
A lot of 8 used 1:87 scale resin cast cars off eBay came in today, cost me in total under $20. It never ceases to amaze me in that just one resin vehicle can cost that much and the ones I usually find in need of rescue have half-assed paint-jobs. These things are NOT cheap when bought new, which is part of the reason I love refurbishing them - I get them for a fraction of their original cost and one coat of primer later they're no different from a new casting of the same mold that costs exponentially more. And one of the cars I got today amazingly wasn't in need of rescue, it was very well painted with nothing actually needing fixing so I already recouped my investment with that vehicle going onto the layout.
