Just placed an order for the clone troopers and redeemed one of my coins. That's 1 down, 3 more orders to go.

Damn, I wish I'd seen that the Clone Trooper pack was up 10 minutes ago. I just placed an order for the Speed Champions Jaguar and Ford 2-packs, and would have thrown a couple of those in. Ah well, it'll be around.

I've been playing catch up on the new/8-stud Speed Champions. I initially balked at the new scale, but bought the Ferrari because....Ferrari. But then I picked up the Corvette 2-pack on sale on Amazon. That plus the 2022 lineup and I'm all in

Got the Supra, Elva, and Jesko and Dodge 2-pack on Amazon b/c they were only $16 each/$40. WM still had the Quattro for $16 and B&N had the GT-R for the regular $20. With the Ford and Jaguar packs, that just leaves last year's Lambo pack, which seems to be OOS everywhere, but is only a little over retail+shipping on Ebay.

    Vroom vroom!

Just finished the Tiger set. Very nice. Feels a little skinny, but overall a great set.

Big cats are actually quite a bit more narrow than how you tend to picture them.

A good percentage of their muscle mass is concentrated towards the depth of their limbs, for maximum sprinting and pouncing power. They don't have a lot of reason to twist sideways, in comparison.

And just like house cats, their skull should be the widest part of the body.

I'm a big fan of the Ninjago dragons, but I wish more of them had brick build heads and wings. Having a specific dragon head mold or plastic sheets for the wings really ruins the Lego aesthetic for me.

One last revision! Wanted to see if I could figure out a more natural looking head with the same articulation as before—the beak is larger and the eyes face outward instead of frontward. I'm keeping the previous owl-like head around so I can swap them back and forth, but this one definitely feels more "real" to me.

That last head actually looks rather realistic (and creepy). So I'd say you nailed what you were looking to achieve.

I was pretty neat seeing your process with this little guy. I really like how it turned out.

So hearing more details about Boba Fett's palace...

Or as they now called it, Bib Fortuna's Palace.

Rumor it will include 6 to 7 minifigures

    Bib Fortune
    Boba Fett
    Fennec Shand
    Gamorrean Guard
2 to 3 figures never heard of these characters before. I think they are one of the dancers from ROTJ, One was a Squid headed guy and the last is a Weequay.

They also said the palace is not going to be fully detailed from the outside. Disappointing.

Thanks! I did end up making one more tweak to its head, it’s smoother on the top and more tapered/curved towards the back. Also adjusted the colors on the head to be more consistent and make the faces+eyes pop.

I understand that No Way Home came out a bit ago and that it’s extremely popular, but the aftermarket prices for some of these older Spider Man 1 & 2 sets are ridiculous.

Oh wow, I didn’t realise! Thanks for the tip. I think that might make the green goblin my most valuable minifig
