Yeah, I NEVER found mine in stores anywhere so I'd love a reissue.

 

With a SS86 Rumble coming out, your best bet will probably be that + a separate future (hypothetical) Ratbat release, I'd wager.

 

Hopefully if not I'll live since he's something I'm not actively wanting just something that would be nice to own (honestly would rather have a new Ravage before it).

 

Yeah, Siege Ratbat and Laserbeak (especially the Netflix retool with the Earth head) are both passable. But Rumble and Ravage are janky as hell. They both need better figures. Not sure that Laserbeak or Ratbat do honestly. Maybe retooled to give them better wing articulation and possibly to make it so their weapons aren't integrated? We really need a new Rumble and Ravage before they even consider revisiting those two though.  

 

A core class budget for both individually would help then greatly, Ravage more that Rumble cause at Rumble looks okay Ravage does not (and were getting a new one). As for Lazerbeak and Ratbat more articulation like the neck swiver and wing articulation (up and down to give it that flapping motion).

 

I'm betting it's a retool of Dino.

That would be a quick way for me to pass on him. The windshield rotation on his back just feels awful. It already broke on my first copy of the figure and I bought a second hoping it was a fluke and was very disappointed to see it wasn't.

Yeah agreed, SS Barricade as a mold really would suck for Sideways considering how bad the tolerances are on some of the the hinges.

 

The chest, door wings, and legs on Dino are pitch-perfect for Sideways. As for smoothness, that's entirely correctable with proper detailing on the molds before they produce the figure. Some of these aren't simple repaints, sometimes they really go all out on these reuses.

This. Mine is still holding together, it's not the absolute end of the world but it shouldn't be happening and I don't want it happening to another character/figure using the same mold. Please don't use him for Sideways, Hasbro. Please.

 

What SS figure was a re-use that wasn’t simply a repaint? Only One I can think of is helicopter drift, who was based off of a completely inaccurate mold to begin with.

Except they didn’t turn an accurate dropkick into an accurate drift.

They used the most inaccurate Studio series mold to date to turn into drift lol. Also not to mention it’s a smooth bot remolded into a smooth bot. Dino is smooth while Sideways is one of the most spike filled designs I’ve seen.

If they do an SS86 Arcee I'm guessing it'll just be the Kingdom one with red lips, light pink hands, a light pink face, light pink biceps, and gray doors.
