I can also say that I understand that the story was to point out the slow decline of the worlds and Megatron's slow takeover, but that ending didnt feel like an ending to me. Like that story could very well have kept going for awhile still, but they forgot it was only supposed to be 4 issues and kneecapped it to end it.

Jack Lawrence has gotten really good as an artist. There were a lot of race scenes that were dead ringers for EJ Su. I think these were worth buying for the art and I hope I get to see Lawrence on an action packed, well-written TF book in the future.

But the story... euhh. And a dang shame, too. How often have Minerva, Ricochet and Circuit gotten a chance for real character development? And it went into this weirdly contradictory, messy plot that ended in a big "I never want to see these characters again" feel. Thunderclash has definitely diminished from IDW1.

I guess we got to meet IDW2 Knock-Out. There was that.

It's a shame that Roche, Roberts, Barber, Scott, Furman, Ruckley--anyone who has written a decent TF comic--weren't anywhere near the friggin' 'origin of the Wreckers.' I can't think of a group that is more iconic in this particular medium of TF stories.

I'd put furman first as he debuted the characters in target 2006. Roche and Roberts expanded on that particularly the impactor and springer characters.
