We all have those moments we really wish played out differently. Well, not really me I just want to hear what y'all's are.

 

- Starscreams, Skywarps and Thundercrackers (G1) death.
- Cyclonus should have remained Tailgate's (mtmte) "mentor", nothing more nothing less.
- Starscream (Armada) death.
- Ratched should have remained Drift's doctor (mtmte), nothing more and nothing less.
- Trailbreakers and Skids (mtmte) death.
- The whole Unicron rubbish and (most) Transformers crossovers (IDW1) should never have happened.
- That the Transformers vs. Terminator series was discontinued.
- TCs and Skywarps (TFP/Aligned) death.
- Genderswapping of Nova Storm (IDW2).
- The Dreamwave "dissaster".

There are many other things I could list, but that's beyond the scope resp. I honestly can't think of more right away (and to be fair, there are a lot of things I really like too).

Ok yeah TC and Skywarp's deaths were a bad way to go. Skywarp's death felt especially meanspirited.

It's really a pitty that we see Starscream and his Trine so little together.

 

The cancelation of the Dreamwave ongoing. The story was going into an interesting direction and Don's art was at his best.. And then poof, it was all over...

 

I’m going to have to echo Starscream’s death in G1.

 

The board meeting that let Rooster Teeth near the IP.

 

The ending of Headmasters.

The penultimate episode (E34) set things up really nicely. Instead of doing the head-formation-of-nonsense, have Sixshot fly up, have a space battle with some Decepticons and destroy the satellite. This would break the connection but also damage Sixshot, leaving his fate unknown and completing his departure from the Decepticons. With the connection broken, Fortress Maximus can then destroy MegaZarak's transtector.

 

Dear God throw a few extra thousand dollars to the budget of the reformatting scene in the 86 Movie and animate it correctly so we don't have 35 years of who became Cyclonus.

 

End of headmasters where they just go "you know what you have been with us for decades spike but out of the blue we are dumping you back to earth for no reason at the last second". It makes no sense at all plus spikes families house is not on earth anyways but on the other planet where the autobots live so they are now homeless without anything they own. Plus carley is a earth ambassador for other planets so she goes into space anyways. It was so dumb and made no sense at all.

Also arcee went from front of the lines fighting to "here is your coffeee sir". Ugh.

 

Rhinox gets freed from his mind control, comes back to the Maximals, squashes all the bickering like he did in BW (get it? Cuz rhinos stamp out fires!), and survives all of BM.
The show as a whole becomes more pleasant to watch without the heroes yelling at each other all the time. Done.

Still though, he was the peacekeeper among the Maximals. I recall he put a stop to more than a few instances of bickering amongst the team. They could’ve really used him during BM.

 

It's kind of unfortunate they don't because that would be badass, and a cool parallel between him and rhinos. I guess that myth probably had a hand in the writers' construction of his personality in BW though.

Even if it's hard for me to admit (of course, as a Starscream fan I would have preferred it if he hadn't died), but in that case I think you're right. His death was indeed unforgettable and important for the plot.
