Excellent job guys! I was not considering this but seeing it done shows how good it looks! So now I'm really thinking of doing this on mine.

I decided to take the plunge and check out Janssen. I'm not a diehard Perceptor fan but I realize my version 1 Telsa really looks dated at this point. Also my figure is riddled with the frail, stress-marked and cracked red plastic, so it's only a matter of time before that one shits the bed. I couldn't justify the prices for a C-list character(imo) for Fanstoys update, although I think theirs looks fantastic with a more fluid transformation. I've had good luck with XTB over the years so fingers crossed for this one!

You take this out of the box and you realize X-Transbots is trying to come with it in 2022, you'll be fine;)

Man i gotta say i am impressed

I'm somebody that got locke v1 and this is miles ahead of that even from casual eye, which is what i am, im not gonna transform him back n forth like i didn't transform locke but i could see locke had severe issues anybody with working eyeballs could see that
i cannot see any problems on this guy, not saying they are not there i'm just saying i cannot see them
The only issue i have is some minor scratches on the chest on both side of the pins and maybe the hipflaps being a silly design having to fish them out when you put the leg back position
I would question how much this figure might hold up over multiple transformations with his ridiculous weight and the xtb fondness of pins, this thing is super heavy i think it's too heavy personally
But i'm gonna stick him on my shelf and he does the job perfectly, i think i paid 85 uk shipped from china which is at least 50 cheaper than tesla 2.0
If magnus is good as this i'm in

Janssen, FansHobby Kap and DS Skywarp all arrived today (you wait ages for a delivery then three show up at once), but Janssen is easily the best one. Superb looking bot mode, good 'scope mode and makes for a surprisingly decent tank as well. Not perfect though, since mine doesn't tab together very well in his alt modes and comes apart easily, which is disappointing. Plus I found the torso transformation to be a bit of a bastard, particularly when putting him back in bot mode, but overall, not too bad. The accessories are great as well, and being able to pose him with his test tubes, beakers and micro-bots makes such a nice change from the usual stoic, gun-toting stuff, and I find the chunkiness gives the figure more personality. Overall, very impressed, and I can honestly say I don't regret canceling Tesla V2 at all.

I find with the hip skirts not returning, just rotate the leg again and further, then go back to straight and they come back every time. Or if you have the leg moved slight and want to straighten out, bend it further then go back to straight to minimize how much back and forth you're doing with the leg. There's also a flat edge exposed for the hip skirts at the bottom of the crotch/hip area and it's easy to push on it to make them return fully.

So far no issues with my figure, although seeing all those problems around here, makes me want to put him back in the box...

Anybody an idea how the scope articulation should be fitted when in bot mode? I can't seem to keep his scope stay in place, anytime I move his left arm.

Incredible seeing the responses so far. I won't be able to pick janssen up until next month (imagine like most xtb figures will be around a while) but I'm super excited looking at all the positive feedback and photos. This figure just seems to ooze the cartoon character! Also a little glad the QC seems to be mostly on point!
