Bloody typical, isn't it? I finally managed to track down Ironpaw and Eject a couple of weeks back (after a bloody age looking, mind you) and now there's new version on the way. Damn, blast and bugger it all the very bowels of Hades!

Anyone got any likely dimensions for these?

I do something similar to YoungPrime (Dr Wu's Squawkbox arrived very recently for this exact purpose), and for much the same reason:

I'd be surprised if they were anything but the original micro cassette size like the official Soundwave ones or the old Blaster ones. I'm at work or I'd go measure them for you

Who's in charge of that page, anyway, and why don't they update it anymore?

Most likely, they'll be on the KFC/TT scale. It'd be shocking if KFC went to the scale of MMC, IMO. BTW, I must be in the minority as I just think MMC's cassettes are too big. The KFC/TT scale is perfect for me. RE: Rhinohorn and Justice Iron Paw 2.0 - YES, I am eagerly awaiting the Fanstoys Blaster & friends and will order them all and yes, I probably should just wait for them but who knows how long that'll take? It could be 2 years from now, or like Acoustic Wave, FT might release it next month. At any rate, I bit the bullet and pre-ordered these nice looking placeholders as the 1.0 versions of their Ramhorn and Steeljaw are the worst figures Keith's company has ever done. Then again...their Grandslam might even be worse...

Got both my V2s paid off @ S.Z this weekend. Figured for the price I might as well get it done & forget about them until shipping time.

Yeah, they are indeed Takara MP sized, but that means they are too small for my taste. Takara Buzzsaw, Laserbeak and Ratbat were appropriately sized, but I also have the MMC Frenzy, Rumble and Ravage, because they are bigger in the cartoon.

The same goes for Steeljaw and Ramhorn, so I will wait patiently for MMC to release theirs, not too mention paying 35 dollars for one Takara MP sized cassette is just too much.

Delayed until they finish their Defensor and Deathsaurus.

I got the MMC Frenzy, Rumble and Ravage with the intention of doing the same, but they're just too big. I ended up displaying them with my Megamaster (OS Megatron) and OS MP11 KO and they look pretty much perfectly in scale.

I don't know, I think they all look pretty damn good together.

But to each their own, of course. While I disagree with Bobby Skullface a lot, he was very much right when he said: If you like it, you win.

I think these look great, unlike the 1.0 versions. I almost ordered the TT set with Nightstalker, just to mod him into Steeljaw, but this is a much better option!

I remember them fighting Spike Witwicky in the first episodes and they were human sized...

    ...but yeah, this.

Now about the new Steeljaw, the mane looks too short, especially compared to TT Nightstalker (they had half the work done!) Like the scale of everything, the length usually varies in the cartoon, same for real lions, but anyway, I feel it should be a bit longer.

If there is one thing I do not take as absolute truth, it's the cartoon where colouring, proportions and size varied from episode to episode, due to shitty rushed animation quality. I love my MMC cassettes, because they (to me) hit the right scale, it could be that this does not work for you, and that is fine. Perhaps Fanstoys will also release Autobot cassettes along with their Blaster, and their size might work better for you.

I agree the animation didn't give a shit about the scale, just wondering which scenes gave you that notion of Frenzy, Rumble and Ravage bigger than Laserbeak in the cartoon, since mine is almost the opposite, I remember Laserbeak interacting with decepticons and being transformer-eagle sized, and the others interacting with humans and being smaller. Anyway, the perfect size for me is anyone you can get from a cassette that fits Soundwave's chest, so MMC doesn't work for me. I'm fine with the KFC cassettebots and will be getting these two for updating, just would prefer Steeljaw more similar to TT Nightstalker, but still looks much better than the v1.

First or second episode I'm pretty sure Rumble was fighting Hound both being the same or similar height

I see. Now I remember Hound and Rumble fighting underwater being around the same size too, but then Spike saves Hound and they also are similar size lol

My take on scale is that the chart is a base line guide. Meaning, it can have some leeway in being taller or shorter, but it can't be significant. While the cartoon varied wildly and were inconsistent, the majority of the time they're depicted a certain size. Of the many episodes I've seen recently, it's usually smaller. When I watch an episode, I try and remember to take a screen cap to kind of document how the scale is.

But that Hound vs Rumble scene is always referenced when the scale is brought up, and I wonder...why is it always that Rumble is as big as Hound? Why couldn't the screw up be that Hound was small as a cassette bot? Of course, it was probably written thinking that they were both the same size...the only thing is that no one knew what that size was supposed to be!

Anyone have RP Rumble and Ravage and TT Hound? I'd like to see how the 3 of those look together. I have the RPs, but not Hound yet.

This Ramhorn looks miles better than the upcoming DS version!
