Yep, I'm sticking with the MMC ones. Simply look better on the shelf to me.

One is a standalone MP figure and the other is an interactive sub-component of Acoustic Wave. They aren't really comparable.

For me, the interactive gimmick of sticking cassette-bots into Soundwave's cassette deck is absolutely essential. How important is it to you?

Agreed, it's all about scale. Rumble Frenzy should stand about as tall as Megatron's knee. MMC went to his crotch. I love MMC's ravage and Rumble and want to keep them around so I bought a 3 3/4" Baroness for my desk and did the ol...

    Yup. And Ravage:

I couldn't care less if the tapes fit in Soundwave, it just looks far better as a display. Plus they can stand under their own weight. Always helps. FT Laserbeak is a winner though.

I like the MMC ones as standalone figures not part of my MP display. I have them and Ravage with my Soundwave bust and the MP cassette alt mode in a little shrine off to the side by my desk.

The FT bots scale better with my collection and take up less room so I prefer that.

Thank god my cassettes have tight joints.
Only Frenzy ( came with Soundwave ) has one loose leg.
Laserbeak is a bit too tight. His shoulder canons are not straight. And aims to the inside

So now that I've got Shadow's shoulders figured out, I figured I had to re-take some previous photos to amend past frustration and mistakes!

    20220116_114759_HDR~2.jpg

After getting that double-hinge sorted out, Shadow really makes for a perfect Ravage!!

    20220116_115126_HDR~2.jpg

He's got presence and personality!! And he move his jaw, and HE CAN SIT!!

    20220116_121945_HDR~2.jpg

Nice kitty!! Or is he a dog?! When I was a kid, I thought he was supposed to be a Doberman. But later I thought he was a Panther.

Whatever he is... he looks amazing!!!

    20220116_122818_HDR~2.jpg

Now if only my real animals could be this good for picture taking!

    20220116_114216_HDR~2.jpg
    20220116_111538_HDR~2.jpg

Overall, this set 100% achieves what it set out to do... serve as a relevant cartoon-accurate update to MP-13 and the accompanying cassettes!

    20220116_112624_HDR~2.jpg

And once I was able to figure out that double-hinge, well... this is now my definitive Ravage!!

    20220116_114906_HDR~2.jpg

Oh... the two photos below are similar to the photos above, but this the camera focus shifted.

    Cheers!

Absolutely 100% prefer MMC for FRumble. Takara and FT size are just too ignorable.

Yea, somewhere in between these two is the sweet spot. I bought the the tapes either way at least for ravage and laser beak.

Nice photos! I really like Ravage and how many good poses you can get out of him. I was pleasantly surprised he could get into the sitting pose so nicely, too. And yeah he's supposed to be a panther but it looks very doberman-like so that confused me as a kid also.

The pose with Rumble/Frenzy on Thomas' train tracks is cool!

20220116_122309.jpg I unfortunately just realized my FIRRIB has come with a molding error. This is my second time transforming to robot mode and I finally realized what's causing it to fall off so often. I have already emailed BBTS

Same. MMC Ravage could be a little smaller, and it would be perfect.

MMC Lazerbeak and Buzzard are veritable pteranodons compared to the TT or FT options.
