It's hard to say, maybe more casual people are like that, or maybe they asked the wrong people and have an assumption they can't shake off now. What gets me is when they want to celebrate a milestone, they'll throw their "legacy numbering" on their like it's nothing and still take the credit. I'm just like "you could have just left it there the whole time".

Marvel Comics Bringing Back X-MEN '92 For A Radical New Spin On HOUSE OF X Storyline

What if House of X started in the Jim Lee era?

Find out this April when writer Steve Foxe and artist Salva Espin reimagine this modern mutant milestone in the pages of the new limited series X-Men '92: House of XCII.

Steve Foxe: "One of my earliest memories is of buying a Garrison Kane action figure, complete with ‘snap-back living hand,’ so to say that the ‘90s X-Men comics had a big impact on my development is an understatement. Getting the opportunity to pay tribute to such an important era in mutant history 30 years later is the definition of a 'dream gig,' especially with some of the wild deviations we’re taking from the source material."

Salva Espin: "I started collecting comics with the X-Men in the nineties. The character designs of this era have always been the most attractive and powerful to me. Those comics and the animated series made my imagination fly. We intend to pay tribute to that powerful era that was the 90s. The moment when superheroes looked better than ever with colorful tight-fitting spandex."

Why do trade paperbacks skip around issues? Like I saw B&N had X-Factor Volume 1, but it was issues 1-3, and 5. Where the hell is issue 4? WHY is issue 4 skipped?

Issue #4 is a part of X of Swords.

Okay, but why isn't it still in the actual trade itself?

And why does New Mutants Volume 1 not actually have issues 1 and 2 in it?

The trades should encompass everything in order since that is the point of trades.

Anyway, that little rant aside, where during Dawn of X does X of Swords take place then? I just finished Volume 14.

I don’t know man, they just did it that way… in fact it’s the case for every comic that was a part of X of Swords. The issues that were a part of the event can only be found in the trade for that event.

As for New Mutants, they split the collection’s between the two writers, the ones written by Hickman in one, the ones written by Brisson in the other, you probably looked at the latter.

X of Swords concludes the Dawn of X era, after that comes Reign of X.

Just finished Bendis’ run on Daredevil, can now fully see why it’s considered on of the best both for the character and the writer!

Yeah, it doesn't really feel like Firestar has been forgotten.
    Underutilized perhaps.

The one thing that made it easier to follow these constant renumbering is it also include the legacy #.

When it first came out it was hard/weird since they would add or not add such and such series.

Too bad trades cant add the legacy numbers somewhere in there. Even if a little note.

Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo kick off new Moon Knight anthology | GamesRadar+

As we all prepare for the upcoming Moon Knight streaming series on Disney Plus, Marvel is getting ready for it by launching a second Moon Knight comic book series.

This April, Marvel Comics launches the four-issue anthology Moon Knight: Black, White, and Blood - delving into the dark side of the Fist of Khonshu, as well as his potential replacement.

Moon Knight: Black, White, & Blood #1 will have short stories by:

Writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Chris Bachalo
Writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Jorge Fornés
Writer Murewa Ayodele and artist Dotun Akanda

Hickman and Bachalo's story will introduce a new Moon Knight, taking place sometime in the near future - but apparently unrelated to the recently introduced other Fist of Khonshu, Hunter's Moon, introduced in the main Moon Knight ongoing comic book series.

In comic books, Marc Spector (and his various alternate identities such as Steven Grant) has been the main Moon Knight - but there have been instances of others taking up the Moon Knight mantle. An unnamed man fought as Moon Knight in ancient Egyptian times, and there have been at least two occasions where a woman has taken up the Moon Knight mantle - including the famous Marvel future 2099.

Moon Knight: Black, White, and Blood is the latest in a series of black-and-white-and-color-accented Marvel Comics anthologies subtitled 'Black, White, and Blood' - following the previous series for Deadpool, Wolverine, Carnage, and Elektra. The trend has even included DC, with color-coded anthologies including Wonder Woman: Black & Gold, Superman: Red & Blue, and Harley Quinn: Black + Red + White.

Disney Plus' Moon Knight debuts March 30, with Moon Knight: Black, White, and Blood #1 (of 4) going on sale in April.

I guess that's one way to keep the popularity of Steve Rogers while showing support for Sam as Captain America in the MCU at the same time.

If we can have two Spider-Men we can have two Caps. Just hope this doesn’t repeat the mistakes of the last time they split the two…

I freaking guessed it that there would be a crossover between Thor and Hulk now that Cates was writing both of them.

The Complete Hickman vol 5 is a disappointment given there’s all ready the Time Runs out Omnibus. I wish they’d jumped out to his complete F4 instead.

I just read the Eternals series by Gaiman and JRJR. Doesn't the retcon that they don't have families create problems with Mentor, Starfox and Thanos? And at the very least, some old issues of Thor?
