With the review of Arcee now out, looks like we have a real home run of a Deluxe. Dragstrip is really cool too but the overwhelming yellow and visible wheel pegs kinda takes from it. Arcee has more articulation than I anticipated too. That head reminds me of the T30 one with its incredible range of movement.

I'm actually wondering if the T30 one's head would fit on this mold. I was originally going to treat Legacy Arcee as a descendant of G1 Arcee from after the Great Upgrade (but with the same general attitude and background as TFP Arcee), then she was going to replace ER Arcee but now I wonder if I should cut my teeth customizing and go with the original idea...

 

Right now my plan is to opt for the Road Rocket version instead. He can be one of Laser Prime's troops, and he and Leadfoot can battle Jhiaxus for G2 supremacy!

 

I want the return of Micromaster combiners.

The six Micromasters come in three packs of two as in Siege. There is also a Deluxe toy that transforms from jet to combiner parts that you attach Micromasters too.

I vividly remember having an insanely shitty knockoff of that figure that came with a t-shirt when I was like, five lol. Colors were weird, plastic was cheap even by five year old standards, it was ... interesting.
It came with a T-Rex shirt for some reason? Idk. It was probably at JCPenney or something like that.
Oddly nostalgic now though. If they remade that guy I would leap on it.

 

I am sure someone already thought of this, but if you are a G1 & Movie fan, the black version of Ironhide could be the Movie version in G1 form, like Barricade, etc...Just a thought.

I really wish that the Bulkhead had a transformation something like voyager AoE Hound. It’s really hard for me to accept a Bulkhead with a very square, angular body. His aesthetic has always been more about circles. I get that this is a G1-esque interpretation, but I think there could have been some effort to round the corners a bit, or have an alt mode that wasn’t just shaped like a brick.

 

I’m just thrilled to be able to get an Ironhide, after my Amazon order of the Ironhide and Prowl set was unceremoniously canceled, and no other options existing for a reasonable price.

 

This is totally me spitballing: that Bulkhead figure looks like it was designed to be tweaked into many different versions of Bulkhead, like a different canopy could do the Animated, free-floating bits sprouting from his back, the front end isn’t changed during transformation so could easily be remolded rounder, the extra wheels on his shoulders, etc. Again, just me wildly conjecturing, but I think the G1 Bulkhead wasn’t the original design.

 

This may be my option too, but I am pretty happy with the SEIGE versions, so if I can't get them, not the end of the world to me.

Say, the Arcee's bike is about the same size as the First Edition. How does that one's bike look with 3.74" figures? I happen to have a toy of Chris Pratt from JW that comes with a motorcycle and the thought occured to me...

I always liked that about the Micromaster combiners, the way some of them could form a jet from the combiner parts. Wish full-scale combiners would implement that.

Welp, looks like Draculus is getting a friend sooner than later.

 

Most of wave 1 doesn't interest me as much. I just hope that wave 2 will be leaked or they will announce a Fan First or Fan Fest soon. I really want to see Tarantulas.
