I am sorely tempted by the regenesis set but I can't see any UK based stores who are stocking it

I’m relieved we’re not doing G2 blister card packaging like for Sphinx G2

While G2-style packaging would be a huge nostalgia bomb for me, that'd just be gratuitous and wasteful.

Save the blister packaging for some nouveau Cyber Jet and Rotor Force figures, though a new Dreadwing and Smokescreen in a window box would be tight.

Oh, and for what it's worth too, months ago, I ordered these springs:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B076LX5K5R?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I removed my styrene pieces, and replaced the original springs with those above. They're a thicker gauge, and much stronger. These worked better than previous method.

Hmmn, that's a lot of springs. Any chance you'd be willing to sell off a few of your spares to fellow TFW members? Just pack a few in a envelope for a few bucks? :)

Well, I think when I ordered them, it was a pack of 10 (with Prime shipping too), and I've already used 8. Otherwise, sure.

I mean we could pull out actuarial tables, but I don't mean that grown ups have more disposable income than kids. I mean that as people age, they generally earn more at whatever job they're in, their kids move out, etc.

THIS. I have more responsibilities now but also WAY more disposable income. Also, being SO grown and having so many responsibilities makes me tend to select buying transformers out of the other, more time consuming alternatives to using my money.

I don't know about that, hookers and blow aren't all that time consuming...at least in my world.....:drunk

That might depend on how much money you spend though. The mo’ money, the mo’ honey.

My Brawl finally arrived this afternoon and now Bruticus is complete. Ive only messed around with him a bit so far but he’s awesome and Bruticus is quite good now that he’s complete.

Thanks for the heads up on the springs @Jarrod , just gotta find somewhere in Australia that supplies this spec. spring. Or somewhere global that ships to AU. So after the spring replacement, did you leave any mylar in any of the locations previously documented?

So its 4 x springs required for Incursus - correct? Its just that you mentioned you've used 8 already s'all.

It's funny. I was born right at the sweet spot where I grew up with both G2 and RiD. Growing up with both, I can't for the life of me see the appeal in the G2 colors over the RiD colors.

Although...to be fair, I've always been a toon-first guy even as a kid. For me, the "right" color scheme for Bruticus was always from the toon, which in G2's case was just repackaged G1 episodes, so we already have the color scheme from the G2 toon I grew up with. Wanting the G2 toy look feels more like wanting colors based on the inaccurate US toy version of Ruination. Which I never would (but statistically I'm sure some people out there must want it).

I personally appreciate just how absurd, garnish and extra the G2 colours are, they become iconic to me because they're so over the top. Not enough to buy them again mind you, I'll only do that for Ruination.

I legitimately like the G2 colors. They bring back happy childhood memories. Never had the complete set, I only had G2 Vortex, Brawl, and Blast off as a kid. They were among my first toys. It'll be nice to finally have the whole team, but better.

I had semi-aged out by g2, at least in terms of the toys. I still watched the cartoons. Somehow, the only g2 toys I wound up with were non-repaints like Laser Optimus & Takatron. I do seem to have a blue Grimlock, but I must've gotten that later. The only repaint I'm sure I got at the time is a black Sideswipe, the least objectionable repaint made.

In retrospect, I can appreciate the colors for the artifacts of their time that they are and I do find g2 Assaultus tempting... but I feel like I should blow $600 on new molds.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I removed all my styrene bits.

And yep, 8: 2 for Incursus' hips, 2 for the mid thigh bend/ Bruticus' hips, 2 for Incursus' feet/Bruticus knees, and 2 for the upward shoulder ratchets.

Upward shoulder ratchets? Do you mean replacing the spring in the olive coloured shoulder component - the same part we received a stronger version of with Probus?

Hm, one of my Onslaught's shoulder ratchets (the back and forth rotation for robot, not combined) seems to not be ratcheting anymore; it's just a smooth turn. Wonder what happened.
