I saw what they did with Monolith (There version of Menasor). I hope Bastion isnt wobly and unstable. One thing i hate big robot with parts falling apart while they are moving e.g. Gcreation Shuraking.

I think one big advantage this will have over Monolith is the fact that the combiner bits don't have to become a trailer. Instead it looks like they will just become a bunch of standalone accessories, which should be much simpler to transform and will hopefully make everything more stable.

I hope XTB learned a lot from Monolith in making a stable combiner which i think they did but its still early to tell so fingers crossed XTB handles this Protectobot set way better than their Stunticons.

mines pretty stable, even moving it around and staging it, I wonder how many who think it isn't stable actually have it and transformed it correctly.

Yeah I recently placed mines in top of my Detolfs and was quite surprised that it wasn't wobbling at all

Me. And me. Well...had it. Couldnt get rid of the flamin hot pile of trash i had quick enough. Poured over the instructions and reviews, tightened screws, kiki, none of it made a difference. Couldnt support its own weight to save its life even without gravestone. It is the sole reason i wont buy xtb until it has been reviewed and even then im iffy. I had faith in xtb once upon a time. Monolith destroyed that.

Edit: all that said i do own jocund and fuzz bc based off reviews they are decent and they are. If the rest come out like this then ill be happy with my xtb protectobots. We'll see how bastion turns out before making a decsion on doubling up.

The only thing about this set I am pissed about is Blades and First Aid will scale with FT Stunticons while Fuzz and Jocund are midgets. I own both and against better judgment really wanted this set too. I will still get the FT set when it comes out. I will have two Brutes, Defensors, Menasors, and a Superion and Devy.

I have the same issue too, but I think I can deal with it… not sure if I really want to go for another FT combiner to be honest (though for sure I’d like a bruticus) - I think the Hotspot from this set looks excellent and he’s the only member I really care about aside from combined mode.

Not sure why anyone would be in on a FT combiner at this point. I'd at least wait till they finish one first

Originally I was going to wait, but due to aftermarket prices being sky high, better off just buying it then selling it later on if it doesn’t work out - people will blindly buy it anywho.

I would love a smaller, none transforming Jocund motorbike that scales more realistically with the others. Except for the helicopter of course. But he can be up in the air looking far away. I suppose I could do some sort of Lord of the Rings style perspective trick. How do I contact the head honcho at XTB? Or failing that Peter Jackson?

My XTB Monolith needs 2 hard foam blocks installed between Breakdown and WilderRider and each foot in order to support the weight of the body due to the weak ankle joints.

I generally like XTB designs, but Fuzz was enough to turn me off to that entire set. It looks fine as long as you don’t touch it, but handling it isn’t fun at all. What an over-complicated, fiddly mess. It shifted my gaze to MMC’s Protectobots.

Agreed. Transformation is terrible. Jocund is fine though.

The XTB would probably be best for the combined mode. MMC's individual bots always looked the best. At least it was the case for the Combaticons. I felt like they were decent options compared to the Zeta one. I don't remember UT's very well, but I did like the initial two (Swindle and Brawl) but I think the others kind of were passable.
