I’m with you. Conceptually, the -master thing doesn’t seem like a great idea to me.

But hey, a cool figure is a cool figure, so I have purchased a few -masters from various lines, including Ace Hitter and Kab from this one.

Yeah, I’m giving strong consideration to buying it and just seeing what options I have for customization. I’m into this for cool toys, not characters, and I like this guy’s proportions.

I don't really care about the Headmaster gimmick on it's own, I judge it based on how it is implemented. If the head robot ends up sitting inside the chest of the robot anyway (like most Headmasters) then I feel like it is a waste of time since the head ends up essentially where it would if it just flips down. Figures like this where it drives from somewhere completely different (such as the legs here) allows for some different transformations since it doesn't have to account for space for the head in the chest. TR Hardhead is another example since removing the head allows the torso to flatten out in a way it couldn't if the head had to fold in there.

Mine is stuck somewhere in NY, even though it shipped from PA, and I live right over the border in Ohio. Monday will be a week from its shipping date.

People complain about FedEx and UPS, but this beats both of them. The USPS SUUUUUCKS right now.

Just jumped out of another chat session with Fans Hobby on Messenger. They confirm MB-14A is indeed under development as the US coloured version HoseHead. I didn't learn when this will happen though however. Just FYI team :)

Just got mine from TCP and I've got to agree with most - he's a great figure and the best of the 2 I have (the other being Ace Hitter).
I'd love to get the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors next (or a cab only release of Power Baser), but failing that I'm loving what Fans Hobby has done, even if I'm not a big fan of their almost Dreamwave-ish proportions.

Well, mine came in. Finally, after 9 days of bouncing around states... (screw you, USPS bosses, screw you.)

He's really good. Such a solid figure. No ball-jointed ankles, yay! I do not like how the helmet sits back there. So tight and I'm worried I'm going to snap one of the antennae off.
The instructions are terrible. Never tells you to rotate his waist. I was able to figure it out, but some collectors aren't really into transforming their figures and like 'em in robot mode as a display piece, and watching this travesty of print unfold is just... bleh. They make great toys, but their instructions SUUUCK.

You can tell that as they went along each figure got better and better as they evolved and progressed as a manufacturer. That said, I do think Minvera's a bit smoother to transform than Nightbeat is. For whatever reason, his legs are just a nightmare to transform. As for Siren/Goshooter and Kap/Hosehead, here... Man, I'd have been super disappointed if they had made these in reverse. They truly saved the best for last. Whoo...

What A fantastic figure. He would be my favorite Fans Hobby figure if it weren't for Nitewalkers trenchcoat.

I just cannot get over how good this figure is. I could barely put him down all night. He's on the little end table next to my recliner and he hasn't moved from it once. I just cannot get over how good this figure is. If they keep making these, especially the Decepticons, I'm in.

I like these rightly priced, affordable MPs/Voyagers. That's right about the sweet spot of what I'm willing to pay and these are absolutely worth the money.

Got him and he’s terrific. Better than the first two combined. The fire truck is strangely adorable. The robot mode hits all the right notes with the red and white color scheme and its delightful blockiness. Very good stuff.

Just got him from my cousins house. He’s amaze balls. With take pictures of him with others when I get the time.
